That's exactly the point of why it's extremely difficult to do these things. If I were teaching British history in schools it would certainly be more positive and nuanced than the 'guilt trip' nonsense that's been pushed since the boomers.

Poignant. Point is Stirls why weren't they taught about the wars in school, or that we once had an Empire as did many other countries and cultures.

As we know Europeans have a mainly middle class group that we can refer to as 'white liberals who.....far more than any other group, have a bias again their own (not all of them obviously). White liberals tend toward the significant majorities in education as in media. It's the sh1te self hating sandwich we are all aware of. If you are genuinely interested, it's worth listening to John McDonnell lay out how labour policy will guide the next revolution in automation in the workplace. This is a good interview: [Link] Or you can keep listening to Boris saying 'Get Brexit Done' whilst w***ing in to a Union Jack hanckerchief.
I listened to about the first 30 mins its a little too long to hold my attention (applies to any party). He identifies some of the potential future issues it's his solutions I disagree with. When you are faced with the real propsect of mass unemployment due to automation a 30 hour week on full pay (4 day week) aint the answer. He is correct that broadband is a big issue and the government must take some of the blame. However for most normal people who live in cities I see the future as wireless broadband in which case Openreach will be saddled with an expensive to maintain physical infrastructure. I think it's better to force the technology companies to solve the black spot issues through legislation, fines and threat of losing their licence, how they deliver it is a commercial decision. He talks about job opportunities in the 4th industrial age and yes their are but I would be more worried about the existing entry level jobs which are starting to disappear now and that pace will only increase as automation kicks in. To be fair to Labour I haven't heard much from the Tories that convinces me that they know the answer either but at least they are not promising to throw billions at nationalising industries that will be come an albatross around the taxpayers neck. Anyway thanks for the video.
