He kept their seats open for as long as possible, sold them to whoever might want to replicate the atmosphere, hoped the atmosphere wouldn’t die, it has, he’s concerned, very concerned, and probably hoping 100 fans from E offer to move (if a decent view at the same cost is offered). He removed nothing though. All the HF had to do was keep turning up and then keep discussing it with regards to a future move. The HF took themselves away, no one else.
Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time. |

My Dad went Saturday, but I haven't spoken to him yet. He barely stands up though, let alone sings, so I'm not sure he cares! As I said in my original post, I hope the club and the HF resolve the matter irrespective of how much I personally value their role in supporting the club.

The thing is, if the club were to allocate block E to the HF, then blocks D and F would have to stand to see past them. That would mean blocks C and G would then have to stand to see past them, and so on, meaning that the whole of the Lower Holmesdale has to stand just because 100 people want to jump about and wave flags. By keeping them in their corner disrupts fewer fans. Failing that, stick them in the Whitehorse end (along with any others who want to stand), move the family area to where the away fans currently are and move the away support back towards the Holmesdale.

We are having the piss taken out of us “...is this a library?!...” Alex McCarthy, Graeme Souness, Sky Sports, Newspapers, Petitions, best atmosphere to worst. Even my 11 year old son stated “... if the atmosphere is going to be rubbish, what’s the point; Dad, why can’t they sort it out?...” Shambles. Shambles. The HF are good for the club and the players. SP sort it out!

Put the HF in the less-desirable seats in the AW ? But that seems to be good enough for long-term ST punters in block E Edited by Forest Hillbilly (03 Sep 2018 5.14pm)

Why can't they just buy the seats that are still available where they used to be?

Why are so many banging on about the Club ‘breaking promises ‘? From everything I’ve seen on forums, Facebook, Twitter etc all they ever said was it was a good idea to try and create a singing section & they’d look into it. Ok, communication seems to have been poor but what ‘promises ‘ have been broken? There is an answer, probably several, to the issue but moving E isn’t one of them. Not until the development work is done or safe standing permitted anyway. It’s almost as if folk look for reasons to slag the Club off that aren’t there which makes th HF & their supporters look unnecessarily childish.
Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five! |

He should apologise and ask them if they'll come back in return for *designated singing areas in all 4 stands from the 2019-20 season onwards the automatic seat renewal thing is the worst possible thing for atmosphere
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

This really is a "marmite" debate. If you're for the HF,then the Club apparently went back on a promise they alledgedly made to the HF. If you're against the HF,then they only have themselves to blame by requesting other fans are turfed out of their seats. BUT,there can be very few on this board who think the atmosphere has got better at SP for the lack of a coordinated HF set-up. The matchday experience has got a lot,lot worse since the HF made a collective decision to disband. The most tragic occurance in this whole sorry mess,is that it will probably take several seasons for the individual members of the HF to get seats together in the ground. Let us hope somehow that both parties can sort out this terrible situation,as IMHO we could lose valuable home points this season.

Comments from the HF. I think there might be more to come.
