bearing in mind the clubs above us have much better resources available to them, and you can almost guarantee will outspend us!

also why dont you enlighten us as to who you want as manager and what they would bring to the table.

to put in into layman's terms for you, it seems you & a lot of other posters want to change their reliable & sensible ford fiesta for a sleek and attractive porsche 911 but have no idea about how to fund it.

Maybe but I’m filling up my fiesta with super unleaded as I’m expecting better performance and mileage.

Precisely.

So that’s the poor quality of player and not the tactics or instructions the players are given? Do you think Roy tells the players to take a risk or express their ability? Works both ways

There’s clearly a divide in opinion on Roy. The home form and negative approach to the games is what’s driving this.

A crap and condescending analogy, but to put it onto context, you're entering your fiesta into an F1 race driven by Johnny Herbert and are happy getting lapped, not realising that when the race finishes eventually you're in last place and it was all pointless.

Rather than cheer the fact that we're in the race, why not upgrade the car and get a better driver?

Haha yours is better than mine 😀

but we are not last/bottom were mid table out performing bigger spending clubs on a smaller budget.

you didnt answer my question...how are we funding these upgrades? you may not be aware of this, but money doesnt grow on trees.

Love the ambition here.Needs an edit mind. Knows how to get a result away. Clueless at home when we are required to play on the front foot and take charge of a game. Unable to react to in game management. And before you come back with yes we drew with Everton, another point on the board I believe only Huddersfield have an inferior record to us this season. I go both home and away, the poor sods who can only get to the home games I wonder how they feel with Roy behind the wheel.

Do you seriously believe Roy deliberately sends his team out with the instructions to play badly at home?

No but he has all those attacking options on the bench and instead of something happening out wide we get MacArthur on the left without an option or ability to do anything out there. Not a pass, not an overlap from a full back. Nothing. We’re setup as a table top football game with nobody moving beyond their line on the pitch.

We’re safe and Roy wants to play it safe and keep all the threat on the bench? Really?

we all know 100% no relegation battle.

great, experienced manager who knows how to get points, as this season has more than proved

There may not be a relegation battle, but it will be the same style of football based on "don't let them score"
Roy has done a great job keeping us in the Premiership for two seasons, exactly what he was hired for,but if we loose a few players in the summer, i think at 70, he is too old to BUILD a new team, a process that can take a few years, even for the top clubs, the very best we can now expect from Roy is to stand still, i am not even confident that will happen.
Sad as it is, we need a younger man, don't ask me who, haven't got a clue.

What, other than the 100m from the yanks and the 150m a year from the tv deal?

Dunno mate, how are Bournemouth, Watford, Burnley scraping by? Do they have better resources then?

IMO it is largely down to the quality of the players we have yes. The style was very different when we had the the likes of RLC and Cabaye to give us options instead of Meyer, Kouyate and Schlupp.
