So ... we play 4 - 5 - 1
we don't know who the striker will be (Austin; Remy) ...
two wingers : presume zaha and bolasie ...
that leaves three places for :
mcarthur; ledley; jedinak; puncheon; cabaye ...
interesting ...

Chamakh? He may have fallen below the radar because he spent quite a bit of last season on the treatment table, but if fit he remains not just one of our best players but one of the best in the division. On form he is unplayable good. All I am saying is please don't omit him from the list.

Oh and while we're at it, Mutch and Chung may not have set the message board alight in their maiden seasons, but they are ap signings and are as likely to feature heavily in the coming season. I am particularly looking forward to our Korean finding his game...

Chamakh is the most overrated player we have ever had, IMO. The best player since Lombardo?! Really?!
40 grand a week , I'd out him.

You are absolutely clueless IMO

I'm not clueless IMO. Like forward players with a goal scoring threat, which he hasn't. I've tried to get on board , as I hear how good people think he is. But I really don't.

There is no doubt in my mind that he is technically gifted. He hasn't played the striker role in quite a while and proved how effective he was when playing deeper and linking up play. He had a calmness on the ball that a lot of our squad don't have. I think he could score more goals especially with a good run under Pardew.

It will be incredible to see a quality player like Cabaye in a Palace shirt but i'm pretty sure he's coming here for one reason and one reason only and that is a certain Mr Pardew. Experienced Prem managers who top players want to play for are like gold dust.

Chamakh is a player who makes the team so much better...he is definitely one of Palace's best.

but also Mutch, Lee and Chamakh. It's likely they'll all get match time. It's a squad game, has been for 40 years, we need at least two players for each position and some with the versatility to switch to plan B. the first 11 mentality is meaningless, horses for courses and all that. That's why there's a 25 player squad for the Prem.

And not to mention Bannan, Guedioura and Williams.

Too many options to be honest....will need to move some on.

Yep....probably will be to be fair. Which is a real shame, as they all offer something quite unique and brilliant on their day. Ah well.

Mutch I think less of a player than guedioura but AP signing early days beacon of hope.
