Pretty damning in my view. I suspect what Pool is saying here is quite accurate. I heard these rumours a long time ago about the US having funded Chinese research into bat to human virus transmission. Apparently it went to the actual Wuhan lab itself. We have had the mainstream media and politicians like Biden calling the 'lab leak' contention a conspiracy theory since the start. Indeed, as Pool says, Biden quietly stopped Trump's investigation into the virus's origins when he came in (along with allowing China into US infrastructure). Now Biden wants to open up an investigation himself...which in affect will be a Chinese and WHO investigation.....I wonder what the outcome of that will be.....it stinks. The whole point of having a pandemic strategy is to limit deaths, something the UK have failed catastrophically.

So what do you think should happen then? What is the outcome you are seeking. There is way too much of a blame culture developing in our country, so quite simply, tell us the solution (minus hindsight please).

Doesn’t appear that Germany have always been so “ good”

The blame the Tories circus would have happened no matter what the Covid outcome. The Left are desperate to recover some ground and they and their media friends will be hard at it criticizing everything and anything even if it contradicts itself.

"Germany sets European record with one million Covid vaccine injections in a day. Only the US, China and India, with their much larger populations, have administered more shots in a day". Germany's covid death rate per million is still more than 40% lower than that of the UK and remains to stay at that level thankfully to their early management of the pandemic last year. That's the real perspective.

And this is exactly why politics generally stinks now more than ever. All parties want to do is savage the opposition. There appears to be very little interest in doing what is best for the country. Yes, the Tories have got it wrong on numerous occasions however there is no viable alternative opposition to them. If you are handed a ballot slip then regardless of your historic leanings you now tend to look at it and go: no, no, no, definitely no, ok I’ll have to go with this one.

I said it doesn’t appear they have always been so good. They seemed impressed with the UK and it’s from the Guardian, who’d have thought it!

In a pandemic, it's deaths that count, nothing else, no point in vaccinating a lot if you're killing a lot. The headlines look good but it doesn't bring back a disproportionate number of dead people back to life.
