Was it mutual agreement then? Otherwise, my point stands. No it doesn’t Not unless you are an employment lawyer There is still a requirement to mitigate the loss Jeez

Jeez Oh FFS Look, I do this for a living He got sacked. His contract was breached. By contract law you can claim for your loss but are required to take all possible steps to mitigate the loss. There will have been a termination agreement in place for sure. It will take cognisance of that element of the law.

That would be taking away a livelihood. Any two bob lawyer would rip that to bits.

Got to say that when it comes too choosing a manager we are consistent - as in clueless I'd go with Howe or Lampard. If they don't want the job - let us know ffs Cooper and Dyche are in employment- leave them alone

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Any update Dazza? The betting markets would suggest Lampard is no longer in the frame ? I think he was heavily odds on but is now around 6-1. Personally i don't think any of the ones currently in the frame ( Dyche, Howe, Cooper, or Lampard ) are going to be the answer. I think Big fat Sam is the one i would be trying to get - knows what is required to survive in the EPL and has a good take on our current squad.

When Lampard's contract was terminated Chelsea and his lawyers will have started a process of agreeing compensation. As it is a fixed term contract he may have right to claim the total of rest of contract. What is likely is a terminal payment was agreed as either an interim or final solution which stipulated he could not take another job in epl till a certain date. He is effectively on gardening leave

I think the £3m is neither here nor there, for reasons dealt with above. We did pay Mike Ashley for Pardew - possibly the £5m quoted. If somebody said we could have a mid range Premier League player for £3m - say Harry Winks - it would be a no brainer. The manager is crucial at all levels. Evidence last night.
