The blew the chance to do it at the end of last season when excuse after excuse was drummed up to cover for his multiple repeated failings.

I think we are now at the point where he can be no longer be trusted to be in charge of any aspect of the team.

Agree totally. The 8 game run at the end of the season was a sign of what was to follow.

Been one of Roy’s biggest supporters since he’s been here but I have now had enough and think it’s time for a change.
If we lose on Monday then I think they need to get someone new in to hopefully get that bounce for the Sheffield Utd game.

Doesn't endear himself when he gives arsey, defensive post match interviews after we've been embarrassed.

Would respect him more if he came out andtook some responsibility, apologised to the fans who had to watch that guff and gave assurances he'd do something to fix the issues.

There was a brief respite when we started looking half decent, however we now have far too many performances where we are totally out played and out classed.

At the start of the season, I was firmly in the Roy out camp, had a change of heart when he changed his tactics to 4-4-2, but now I think he has finally run his course, looks totally out of ideas and is worryingly set with his preferred player selections and his bizarre substitutions.

3-0 down against 10 men.

There's a defensive midfielder at centre back, an attacking midfielder on the left wing, a left back on the right wing, a winger up front.

Seemingly impossible for the favourites to be dropped.

How are you going to defend this c*** this week?

I was thinking of starting a thread in its own right but I’m continually baffled and incredibly frustrated by us playing left footed players on the right and right footed players on the left. The trend seemed to start when Townsend joined the club which meant Zaha moved to left midfield.

And now both Schlupp on right and Eze on left looked out of sorts last week against Liverpool but continued in those positions this week. Then fans have a go at them for being ineffective. They have to cut back, slowing the game down, or drift inside and float a ball over. It’s no wonder Benteke hardly scores these days.

The players have shown little fight these last 2 games which is disappointing but playing players in their most appropriate positions may help!!!

Pardew's last 20 games before being sacked:

18 points
29 goals scored
38 goals conceded

Hodgson's last 20 games:

19 points
20 goals scored
35 goals conceded

Despite us having a better squad we have gone backwards.

I don’t think for a second Roy’s getting the boot however one of his saving graces was his defensive stability and organisation. Now that appears to have deserted him it could mean trouble ahead.

Think it also highlights that he really can only play one way. I think we’ll see a reversion to the previous mind numbing anti football style very soon. Although if you believe what Roy says he’s made no changes to the playing style. Ok Roy.

Utterly pathetic display today. Embarrassing and think it shows the apathy of the players. Roy day dreaming on the bench. He’s clueless in those situations. Not the first time we’ve had to be the aggressors in a game and Roy’s got no answers.

I believe every word from other fans from clubs such as West Brom and Fulham who warn of replacing Hodgson right now - do it at the end of the season - the grass isn't always greener and I don't know who people see as a replacement? The likes of Howe wouldn't come to Palace...

Every club will have a run of bad results in a season - looks like Palace's is now.

After the last 2 results, there will plenty of knee jerk on these pages - for what it's worth, 2 weeks ago 5 live pundits were calling this the best team which Palace have had since being back at the Prem.

Hodgson's undoing is, at last, age and a lack of pace is starting to show within the squad.

Macarthur has slowed down, and Miliojovic has become completely ineffective over the past season - between them over the past 2 seasons, they have formed the defensive bedrock which has allowed Palace to try and press as a defensive unit.

Behind these 2 - and the back 4 have no pace at all.
Kouyate has no conviction adn is not a CB and I thought, today, Dann looked about 40 years old whilst, defensively, Van Aanholt has always been a liability.

Cahill, if fit, and Tomkins should start at CB on Monday, with Ward and Schlupp either side.

All well and good having the likes of Eze on the pitch for his creativity and flair - but if he is going to play as a winger then defensively he isn't at the level of Townsend - whose role becomes even more important defensively when J Mac and Milo are slowing down - especially when PVA constantly pushes forward and gets caught short.

Palace will not go down and will finish comfortably mid table IMO - Roy is the man to see this season out before moving on.
Also think this is the last season of semi regular game time for Macarthur, Dann and Ward.

Blaming Hodgson is the easy thing to do right now - but other than starting Tomkins and Mccarthy today as opposed to Dann and Miliojovic, I wouldnt have done much different..... wonder if Chelsea fans will be screaming for Lampard out tonight?

Again, please do explain who exactly you think we can get that will do a better job than the current manager.

Because I'm aware of the failings of my current plumber, vet, boss, Prime Minister, internet provider and mechanic.

But unless I can identify a better one, it really doesn't matter at all, does it?

Pardew was sacked in December but when he was relieved of his duties we only had 15 pts from 17 pts and were 17th just a point above the relegation zone.

Have supported Roy relentlessly , to everyone and people on this message board, however, you have something to prove coming off the back of a 7-0 defeat and losing 3-0 after against a villa side down to 10 men shows old Roy is finished , paddy McCarthy in please, or Sean Derry, don’t want anyone else (un palace related)

I have always backed Roy but times up and I think give someone with a palace connection a go! Maybe Sean Derry, paddy McCarthy or even Mike jedinak (how is his coaching badge coming on) I’m sick of old man shares coming in , we want someone with some spunk!!!
