Sky are not usually unreliable. It could be taken from an out of date interview but I doubt Sky would post it up as a main headline on their website if that were the case.
Leave the offer on the table but stop wating time and move on to other targets in the meantime. Or risk ending up starting the season with just Connor....who'll no doubt get injured in the first game!

I love & hate transfer silly season. I really hope this doesn't collapse as I think he would be perfect for our style of play. As much as I like Berahino (who we've also be linked to) I don't think he would suit our style, unless used in 4-4-2 system.
Fingers still crossed for Benteke! Really don't want to end up with another desperate loan signing like Adebayor or Sanogo!

What if he actually just doesn't want to come to palace, I mean could anyone actually blame him? Struggled under klopp but easy to forget he left a villa side in a very similair position to us. Just played an FA cup final but that aside let's not forget we had the worst record in the league second half of last season. Would surely seem like a huge step back, maybe he wants to see if a West Ham/Southampton/Everton come knocking? As much as we think we are, we are not as big as these clubs yet, still a long way to go.
