I've never understood the denigration of someone because they held similar views to a previous political figure. 'Trotskyite, Marxist', or 'Thatcherite'. But hey, easier to sneer that someone is a 'Trotskyite throwback' or 'out of touch Thatcherite' than actually consider their policies.

It would appear that this Labour figure HAS considered Corbyn's policies and formulated a judgement accordingly.

McDonnell has assembled a team of top economic advisors. Gideon has aa 2:11 in something non economic. I know who I'd trust more.

You trust those who take from those that need it most. You trust those that are increasing the deficit.

And Labour want to bring in thousands of "Refugees" and house them before the people already here and needing housing.

Who's taking from the ones who need it more.

The Shadow Chancellor said to the Guardian, as per previous post, that he would vote for the Tories Fiscal Charter. He also said he would reject austerity, increase spending yet reduce the deficit.

As I asked yesterday, how will this happen? At face value, it doesn't appear to add up.

The shadow Chancellor only said he supported it in that he wants it rid of by 2020. Nothing more other than he'd go about it a different way.

Can anyone give an example of when a country has spent its way out of a slump? The only instances I can think of where a government has tried to manipulate the economy by artificially promoting growth it has resulted in a sterling crisis and devaluation.

I'm sure I read that for every pound spent on building houses is worth nearly treble that for the economy.

Not to mention the post-war economic boom, a time of massive investment in infrastructure, widespread nationalisation and the creation of the NHS.
