These are the people Starmer and the left bat for. They certainly aren't for the white working class and the mistake this white lad made was being on his own. It's not an excuse; it's an attempt to find a reason that doesn't assume those responsible are just easily manipulated dupes. George Floyd dying was the catalyst for the BLM riots but it wasn't the only reason.
