Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

So you are saying, it"s not worth pulling in only £2 billion from a wealthy company, that"s already said you can do it without us changing our plans going forward , as what will we do next year? Two, thousand million? Its a bit like saying, if Steve was giving away free season tickets to those who have had one for the past 5 years, and declining the offer because what will I do the season after next?

Having worked in project management for utilities, I have no doubt the big oil companies won’t be able to spend much of the windfall. They won’t be able to ramp up investment programmes very quickly. Generally just spending existing investment budgets proves beyond them. So they’ll return money to shareholders through dividends and buy backs The Government says that benefits pensioners. Well, yes, those with significant private pots. But it is regressive, the smaller a pension you have the less you benefit How very Conservative. Edited by Mapletree (24 May 2022 5.05pm)

Another £800 energy hike forecast for October. Starmer's windfall tax would have covered the last £600 hike. Sunaks hopelessly inadequate energy policy increases our reliance on fossil fuels so it looks like a spiral out of control.

Funny enough, even thou we are a subserviant shrug our shoulders and keep calm nation, I did say over the weekend if we get a couple of hot days on the trot, falling over a weekend, we might, just might, see a bit of public disorder, I might blast some "police and thieves" off the roof of my block, just to get things started! It could come from people going hungry, broke, fed up, or perhaps after they discover where the £47 thousand million ppe cash went or more likely a response to the met going soft on bungle with only one fine!
