They sacked him. There can be no contract. Whatever the the finer points of the sacking were, it was either paid up in full, or forfeited. Why others use this reasoning I don't know.

Personally I've absolutely no idea how these things work, but if you're correct then there isn't anything left to wait for now the play offs are done.

I saw the reported figures it would cost to secure Dyche - and thought “blimey that’s a lot” ! Then I thought about it for a while
and on reflection the manager is really the most important part of the jigsaw - so why shouldn’t he be well paid? F me we’ve spent a fortune on some players who have hardly represented value for
money!
I haven’t seen much linking us to Wilder - which as an out of work manager is surprising really - given his experience and success at lower levels and his first year in the prem with, let’s face it a team of journeymen. Ok they got found out this season after an injury hit start and no investment - but I don’t think undoes all Wilder’s previous good work - I wouldn’t be too disappointed with him (especially if Cooper is the alternative - not a fan of his at all)!

I want Dyche as I think he’d surprise a few people with the style of play.
Personally I HATE watching pointless possession football going forward and then coming all the way back again - so called “playing the right way” I want 100% effort, tough tackling bodies on the line, tricky wing play and lots of crosses - playing with purpose. I think Dyche delivers that and is worth paying the money to secure him.

Really? You know the nature of the termination settlement intimately then. Great, I could have sworn there would be a mitigation of loss clause. My bad.

Was it mutual agreement then? Otherwise, my point stands.

Systematically dragged down by the lawmakers

Judging by the way he arrived at work to find the locks had been changed I don't think there was much mutuality in it! hehe

Spot on post, glad to see some common sense prevails.

For a club trying to keep the wage bill down its complete madnesss . I wouldnt pay Harry Kane that much ...Well maybe .

Just look at Burnley’s players wages. No way is Dyche on anything like that much.

I suppose that Swansea's First team coach is more available than he was at 3p.m. today.

Some interesting comments from Steve Cooper after today’s play-off final defeat, giving a strong indication that he’s leaving.

This man has been embroiled in the rumour mill for months now. It really does make me wonder if there was a gentleman’s agreement in place depending on the outcome of the final.

I wouldn’t be overly enamoured by his appointment.

This is the same scenario as when Frank de boer was appointed

Club has no policy or vision when it comes to appointing a manager. I think it's damaging

I think Swansea were so negative today so I guess Cooper will be perfect for us , then we sign Andre Ayew ... praying that parish doesn’t go for him or another cheapo manager otherwise championship here we come
