What if your back ground is from a culture that does not succeed as often as other cultures. A culture that has failed many generations. Jewish people are known to be successful, they do something right and are a minority.

You Dan H love multiculturalism and that everyone is diffrent but won't accept some are more successful than others. Then blame the lead culture.

Or do you?

to follow Dan's logic, we would put white fellas into Olympic sprinting races, with extra steroids to 'make it fair'

It’s extremely lazy to lump entire cultures as ‘successful’ or ‘not successful’ and entirely unhelpful. It’s also a common anti-Semitic trope to label Jewish people as ‘successful’ and by virtue in charge of various institutions and a ‘fair target’ for abuse (which is where the left of Labour Party continue to be stunningly blind on).

There are so many reasons as to why someone is ‘successful’ or not. It’s not defined by culture alone - it can be a factor but it is far from the only one. I know it makes it easier for you to try and understand it but you have to dig deeper than that.

There are ‘white fellas’ in Olympic sprinting races.

There hasn’t been one in the last eight Olympic 100m finals.

Perhaps they should simply try running faster

I completely agree. Same with where you were born or what your family tree is - you cannot alter these and had no say in them. Talking in street slang you can help so it is perfectly acceptable to be judged on that.

People do still get judged based on what they sound like as well as other things that they cannot help unfortunately. I think you might have inadvertently stumbled across my position on these things

I don't think one 'right winger' on here has disagrred totally with every left wing policy.
Spin that around and it would be different.
It's "anything but" from the left,
it's "not in that format " from the right.
This is the difference.
Personally what conservative policy do you have positive vibes about? Even with a tweak.

Quite an interesting article on white sprinters here: [Link]

This ‘logic’ again misses my general point though - as long as white guys are afforded the same opportunities to compete in the Olympic 100 metres then that’s all I care about. As far as I’m aware there’s no athletic clubs that prevent ‘white fellas’ from joining or competing at any level.

Perhaps the same applies to life in general.

A capitalist society is the only real society that would function. I’m also quite a liberal free marketeer - I think the role of the state should be to ensure that exploitation doesn’t occur but other than that I am not an advocate of barriers to trade.

Guy waffles on about equality and then suggests that there aren't successful or unsuccessful cultures.

In 2015 Forbes listed 18 of the top 50 billionaires in the world as Jewish yet they there are roughly 15 million Jews in the world, making them a tiny percent of the world's population.

[Link]

In the US they make up a bit over 2 percent of the population yet in the US in 2010 30 in the richest 100 Americans were Jewish.

[Link]

Yet it's an anti-Semitic trope to label Jewish people as ‘successful’? Or recognise their disproportionate numbers in high earning industries and CEOs for example?....We could look at Nobel prizes as a percent but this is completely unserious.

It's like a degree in nonsense language. Whatever Dan wants to be true is true.

I bored with it.
