I think the HF has been a good thing for the club, as it helped create a really good atmosphere and a spectacle. Having said that I fully support the club in refusing to move existing S/T holders from their seats. Like the Crystals, HF have added some entertainment, but neither appear to have affected the results, so we are really talking about atmosphere. The HF are not paid employees of the club and I presume they formed and continued as they enjoyed themselves; if they are not enjoying themselves then I question why they would continue anyway? The football on the pitch is the key thing and I hope the HF do not choose to create a toxic atmosphere in the club as any goodwill they created would quickly disappear. Despite people's suggestions, I don't think anyone is at fault here, it is just a case of a group being disappointed that they didn't get what they want. Let's hope everyone can recognise that and look to explore alternative options for next season (or that the HF take up the seats that have been held back by the club).

Although I think the HF are being a little childish, I do think that people need to realise that at this point in time, the famous Selhurst atmosphere is dead. Yes, it may not win us games but there is no doubt that other teams knew they were coming to a game when the support would be loud and proud. Klopp mentioned it this year, Gary & Jamie on Sky have mentioned how you didn't like coming to play under the lights and noise at Palace. So Block E are perfectly within their right to keep their seats. But in doing so are contributing to the new atmosphere which is, quite frankly, dire and laughable. Block E aren't contributing: a) They haven't been asked

Why do so many of the fans stand up in the Holmesdale lower tier? Its now reaching behind the goal (I think) Used to just be the HF and the end block. Must piss some people off?

I don’t know why they just didn’t give the sitting back half of E the chance to buy seats that aren’t ST’s anywhere in the ground the day the early bird deals are launched. Gradually they’d have mostly gone over a few seasons and standers would’ve moved in although that wouldn’t be the HF, or they could’ve done it this season and found quite a few got what was happening and thought it best to move before not being able to see anything.

From the statement the club released this morning it sounds like they made a lot of empty promises and went back on agreements. People are heaping praise on SP for "standing his ground" but if you read between the lines you'll see all he managed to do was piss off both sets of supporters. Still though, toys out of the HF pram. Just stay in Block B. The statement released this morning was a desperate last attempt at subliminally begging either the HF to come back, or the E Block fans to move.

You would think that at some point, those sitting at the back of E will get the hint. Yes, I know they've been there since it was built, however things do change over time, even if its usually evolution rather than revolution. They must now be pretty aware that where they are situated is earmarked even if it takes until the Main Stand is built. If that was me, I probably wouldn't hang around where I knew there was a clock ticking

Surely only then could the club come up with a solution?

I have a season ticket in row 10 of block B , had it for about 15 seasons and never sat in my seat, love standing and don't want people who want to sit down moved in here, I don't see why everyone says block B is rubbish , it's a great view, you get to goad the opposition players at corners and we can join in with the guys singing in the Arthur, all adds to the atmosphere, It is a bit strange now, just tourists down the front mainly looking around wondering what to do. Although I don't miss the flags, i's time the others sucked it up , came back and started something happening again. after all it will be the whole of block E if the front 100 seats are standing not just them affectedf

Just quotes from the club statement. HF maintain their silence and with every passing game the call for the club to do something about the stand-off will get louder from other fans. maybe that will off-set the quieter atmosphere at Selhurst thus negating the need to get the HF back

Surely the club could give the HF some of the seats that are currently taken up by away fans. Those away fans only turn up for one game a season anyway, so nobody will miss them. They're nothing but glory hunters.
