Todays first download is a set by Styx that was recorded on their Grand Decathlon tour of 1979. This is in superb quality and is a wicked set by the band. The final two tracks are taken from a different gig and source but still from 1979 - and the quality is slightly less good as the main tracks - but still very good. Todys second download is a by a band I know absolutely nothing about - and I'd never heard of them until I saw this bootleg and decided to give it a try. The band are called The Bevis Frond and the band is essentially Nick Saloman - on the studio albums he plays : Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboards and does the vocals. When touring he has a band that has included... (From Wiki) Adrian Shaw (bass guitar), Bari Watts (guitar), Ric Gunther (drums), Paul Simmons (guitar), Rod Goodway (guitar, vocal), Andy Ward (drums), Jules Fenton (drums), Martin Crowley (drums), Debbie Saloman (vocals). The music consists of gritty guitar reminiscent of Neil Young, with solid drums and bass guitar - and very catchy tunes... I always like to give new bands a try.... I recommend this one.... try it!
