Todays first download is a set by Elton John that was recorded at the Wembley Pool (Empire Pool?) London on the 11th March 1977. This is in superb quality and the audio for the show has been taken from the soundboard and it sounds top notch. I've posted loads of albums and bootlegs by EJ over the years on the mp3 thread - he always puts on a good show and this is no exception. Some classics on this one include "Daniel" "Benny And The Jets" "Philadelphia Freedom" and "Rocket Man" all being played. I recently posted an Elton John show from Barcelona 2009 and if you downloaded that one - then give this one a try... this is thoroughly recommended... Here is a download link I found for :- The Goal Diggers Benefit, Wembley Pool, London, England 11.3.77 - Elton John (Bootleg) Quality : Superb Tracklisting : 01. Better Off Dead Download Link : [Link] Filesize : 109MB (Including Artwork and Tracklisting) Enjoy! Attachment: Elton John - Wembley Pool, London 11.3.77.jpg (160.46Kb)

Hey staffie - the Steve Marriott posting has inspired me again. I think I asked a few years back for the tribute (memorial) concert to him - think its called once more for the old tosser or mustn't grumble. Was put on at the Astoria (also not been able to get the DVD here in Canada). I know you couldn't find it back then and not sure if it was added to the 'to find' list.

Todays first download is a tribute to guitarist Mick Ronson that was recorded one year after he died at the Hammersmith Apollo 1994. Mick died of liver cancer on 29th April 1993 at the age of 46. Among those performing were long-time musical partner Ian Hunter, The Spiders From Mars (alongside Mick Ronson, they were David Bowie’s backing band in the early ’70s), Joe Elliott and Phil Collen (Def Leppard), Roger Taylor (Queen), Roger Daltrey (The Who), Bill Nelson (Be Bop DeLuxe), Willy And The Poor Boys (Gary Brooker, Andy Fairweather-Low, Bill Wyman), and many others. The show was broadcast on BBC Radio 1 on the 30th April 1994. Mick was named the 64th greatest guitarist of all time by Rolling Stone in 2003 and 41st in 2012 by the same magazine. This is a cracking show and this is thoroughly recommended... Todays second download is a set by Steve Marriotts Packet Of Three....... I have no info as to when (sometime in 1998 ) and where this was recorded It wasn't 1998 as Steve Marriott died in 1991. I think this is the concert.... Steve Marriott All Or Nothing: Live From London Live In London features a full show Steve Marriott played with his band Packet Of Three at London's Camden Palace Theatre in 1985. Marriott revisits many hits from his back catalog including classic Small Faces songs Whatcha Gonna Do About It, All Or Nothing and Tin Soldier and Humble Pie singles 30 Days In The Hole and I Don't Need No Doctor. Your posting of this got me digging out my old Small Faces albums - forgotten how good they are! Feel free to post more of Mr Marriott's work - maybe these? Tin Soldier - The Steve Marriott Anthology All or Nuffin: The Final Performance 2009 Cheers
