Oh and I predict that Starmer.....when in government....will soon be very unpopular.

He's going to increase censorship and that's probably going to have the opposite effect.

He will try to make voting him out difficult by lowering the voting age....but I don't see that working because ultimately he can't change the economics and five years of left wing social liberalism isn't going to improve the country's fortunes.....it's essentially more of the same with the dubiously added bonus of kneeling to degenerates and minorities who generally don't like the country.

He's going to make the job of shifting the right away from the centre much easier.

How many civil servants have we needed to employ to do the things we use to have a share of in Brussels? Doing things that are already done doesn’t make a lot of sense.

Taking back control? Adding costs is more accurate!

Hacking away at the governmental poison ivy is an immense benefit. We should also abolish the Scottish and Welsh parliaments, English regional authorities, Mayors and Police Commissioners - as well as taking an axe to many Quangos.

Quangos were supposed to take over "civil service" type responsibilities and yet the CS has not been cut back. So they are an addition rather than a replacement / alternative. There is plenty of scope of job cutting.

I should have said: "as well as taking an axe to many Quangos and Civil Servants".

No that's fine I got your point.

I just had a quick look at The department of Media and Cultural affairs. They directly employ 1000-1200 civil servants. However there are 45 Quangos funded by the department from OFCOM to the Arts Council etc.

So trying to work out how many people the government actually employs is difficult which no doubt is what the civil service wants.

I don't believe there is no fat and that is just one department.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

They certainly need the money, I read they are poor and their broadcasts seem to be low budget repeats.

The betting saga is getting worse by the minute compounding their woes, with the Met involved it's getting quite juicy.
