Surely after the shambles that is Man U, AWB cant wait to leave, a loan with a sensible option to buy must be on the cards.
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

Very much follow that logic Painter however I'd also throw in there that the fans don't seem massively enamoured with him and... he has had his chance, and that hasn't worked out so well. May just be a 'money ting' in which case fair enough. For peace of mind etc however, if I were him, I'd come back to London at the very least but jump at Palace.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Never caused by AWB, not having him in the side has made no difference what so ever. Anyones form would suffer in that mess, and that’s true of everyone in that squad as the results continue to show. AWB is not the greatest player to have ever put on a red shirt but in this case has become some sort of scapegoat, typical treatment for the untried southern outsider. AWBs biggest problem going forward , apart from confidence is the £50 million they hung round his neck. Edited by Putitout (15 Aug 2022 10.23am) Edited by Putitout (15 Aug 2022 10.25am)

I don't believe it is as high as that figure. As far as I am aware they have signed 14 players for a total fee of around £115 Mill. Start adding on the agent fees, the signing on fees for the free transfers (especially Lingard's), all the wage contributions... Forest need these players to gel fast because West Ham should have absolutely battered them yesterday. Goal disallowed, penalty saved, two off the underside of the bar, one off the line, free header from 6 yards out... They may get a 1-0 win once a season but giving up those sort of chances isn't going to keep them up. Back to Palace, if United hold on to AWB then Djed Spence must be available on a loan. Clearly 3rd choice at Spurs at present, maybe even 4th behind Moura. Edited by ambrose7 (15 Aug 2022 10.31am)

Just watched the highlights on MOTD and haven't laughed as much for a good while. Suspect after that performance all the back line will be changed allowing AWB a chance to prove his worth.

Plus, he has played for Chelsea in the intervening period (albeit for a matter of minutes). Originally posted by rossboss29
I’m pretty sure there is nothing stopping us for a loan only again this year. This would be a separate transfer not in conjunction with the first. Perhaps if it was two year continuous loan it may be different but nothing I’ve heard of .

All gone very quiet on here, all that is left is rumours of 2nd raters. After the last few windows, this feels disappointing. What do people think? Are we likely to get anyone in? still think that missing out on Flynn downes and most likely MGW, means we're short a Midfielder. We are starting to be left with a single CG shaped Egg in our basket, and that is unlikely to hatch....
