This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle His performance yesterday says to me he is staying. But if the club gets a very silly offer and includes RLC then we may see a move. I sincerely hope not as I am looking forward to a very positive season as we are looking in very good shape indeed. So let's all pray he stays, we all love you Wilf!!

There have been strong links with Antonio and Ings and Hodgson would clearly take Loftus Cheek. I agree, we’re in a decent position if he goes with the inevitable addition of a couple of quality players to replace him. Will be a sad day but £75m is a lot of money for a club like us and likely to be too much to turn down.

Presumably you are aware we were tracking Max Meyer for a good while and there was precisely nothing in the press until the deal was almost done. Because he was a free agent. Not done between clubs which means a lot of people getting wind of a deal and leaks.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle i just cant see chelsea breaking their transfer record by £20m for wilf, especially as roman is trying not to spend loads of money at the mo. parish played a blinder in getting that 5 year deal signed as he obviously saw this situation on the horizon & that when it came he wanted to completely be in charge of the situation. if wilf continues to develop at the rate he did last season we will be looking at £100m+ figures being thrown about.

Will be a sad day but £75m is a lot of money for a club like us and likely to be too much to turn down. £75m is nowhere near enough considering the financial costs of relegation which is far more likely without Wilf. We would sell if cash flow were a business threat but it seems to be under control and if you really need the cash for the stadium you could always sell next summer or more likely the summer after the construction bills have to finally settled. A deal with £150m with about £100m cash and RLC, Tammy Abrahams and a couple of other Chelsea young prospects would be tempting I am sure - but I don't think Chelsea are going to do that Wilf is worth more to us than he is to anyone else - that is the reason he will stay especially as he is happy here If he continues to improve then other clubs valuations will start to increase and get closer to ours. In the meantime we need a better squad capable of mid table without him.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle IMO Wilf will be sold come Thursday and if it's to Chelsea my guess is that it will involve either Drinkwater or RLC coming the other way possibly loan or purchase. I obviously don't want to lose Wilf but to me everything points to it and the biggest one being that we are spending one hell of a load of money at the moment and with potentially even more being outplayed before Thursday. By not making it public about him earmarked to go, we don't see any purchase prices being inflated. Hope I am wrong!

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle I'll bet he will still be a Palace player after Thursday unless a complete cash bid is made of 75mill+

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Really hope this does not happen. Would be a major dent in what seems to be a really good pre season! For me we look in the best shape for a new season that we have ever looked. The whole squad has a really good feel about it and to loose Wilf right on the eve of our opening game at Fulham would indeed be typical Palace! Yes the fee would no doubt be tempting for the club but let’s hope all concerned take a look at the bigger picture. I feel very optimistic about the up and coming season let’s not hope it’s all undone two days before our opening fixture.

Hope I am wrong! we havnt spent a hell of a lot of money, we have outlayed £10m this pre-season which is peanuts in PL terms. i see it the other way, we have purposley been very shrewd to ensure we dont need to sell wilf this summer.

Time will tell but I think it is unlikely Wilf will be sold unless we get an offer we can't refuse ie 70 million of Chelsea reserve players we want RLC plus at least 2 others. They also must fit into our wage structure (Effectively the wages combined must be only about 30k pw on top of Wilfs so no Drinkwater ) I can't see us agreeing to loans unless they have a firm right to buy. Cash is little good as we will not have time to spend it. I can see one of strikers going (probably Solorth) possibly on loan so we can bring in someone like Ayew.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle I don’t believe there’s any chance whatsoever of Zaha being sold. He’s under contract and we all know if he leaves the chance of us being relegated will be greatly increased so why would we?

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle If we got £75 mill + ... then he can go with my blessing ... obviously don’t want him to go as I feel the squad right now is in a great place, and if he goes late then there would be a “panic buy” to offset the fans and to replace him (as far as I’m concerned he isn’t replaceable)
