Looking at the pictures of hyde park today, picnics, meet ups and the like with multiple amounts of people it would be no surprise to see the numbers of positives and hospital admissions rocketing up in a few weeks. If this is typical of the uk today then lockdown wont end any time soon. These are probably the very same selfish individuals who will complain when boris extends the lockdown. The unlock dates were not written in stone; they were an aspiration if the rules were followed.
There is something especially cruel about getting ill shortly after you've been vaccinated, and especially dim in exposing a loved one to such a situation through selfishness and ignorance. This no doubt isn't a typical example, but goes to show what the consequences can be of "I'm alright, Jack" behaviour. Hopefully the vaccine will be steering us in the right direction soon anyway though regardless.

People who are smart won’t get it before they’re protected by the vax if they’re over 50 or 60.

Amounts of people not being adhered to. These are the rules and 1000s are breaking them. Youngsters are going into hospital next as the virus will need hosts and the older ones will have protection. An extended lockdown is coming im afraid!

Why are so many people losing their sh*t over a few crowds in parks. Did they not see the articles published recently dispelling the myths surrounding the 'super spreader' beaches from last summer? Surely this is the same thing? Here's a quote from the article if you don't have the time to read it: “We have known for some time that only about 10% of transmission events are linked to outdoor activities,” said Dr Müge Çevik, a lecturer in infectious diseases and medical virology at the University of St Andrews.

Exactly, people are beginning to be afraid of their own shadows.

We don't make the rules. I suppose as soon as THEY say it’s safe then it’s do as you like. Do you honestly believe a word that comes out of their mouths? They are making it up as they go along.

If people can just hang on for a couple more months this will all be over, mass disobedience now will just push us back into a third lockdown. I don't like being told what to do like most people but I think I can hang on until then. If the government is still using restrictions after that and the numbers are insignificant that is the time to protest. Across Europe the numbers are rising we are one of the countries going the right way let's not muck it up now we are so close to the finishing line.
