I see you ignored the real point, that Germany do not have a government at present and might have to have another election. Seeing as May has been labelled all sorts for choosing to call one, I wonder what Merkel will be labelled if she is forced to endure another one? One that will probably weaken her party even more. Macron chose to use the phrase that he would like to see a "strong and stable" Germany. You couldn't make it up.
