i do think some of the comments on here are very harsh , at the end of the day for the majority of his stay here he was a superstar and to be honest was rewarded royally for it.He saw his contract out(and earned every penny he got unlike a few players there now ho are robbing a living) and the club were fully aware of this. If they did make him a new offer of 200k rhen it is the club who should of time limited that, not left it on the table ,they should of withdrawn it after a period of time if he hadnt signed to buy a replacement. The fact they have not is solely down to the club not Wilf

"while Palace had offered him £200,000 a week to extend his time at Selhurst Park by a further four years. It is understood his wages at Galatasaray will be lower than what he would have earned in the Premier League " Parish bent over for Zaha and he didn't even get screwed

He earned his red and blue stripes and then some. I mean this sincerely in that I thought he had dropped a level or two last season and perhaps before that. Was not the electrifying whizz he once was. Finishing improved but all other assets he once held were not exhibited with the consistency they once were. Perhaps there’s a chance he felt a bit knackered for the PL, perhaps he just wanted European football, perhaps he just fancied a crack at something other than palace. Might be one, none, some or all of these who knows. I’m any instance, I’d of been devastated years past but I’m not even worried now. What does worry me is our business in the rest of the window, which includes both the procurement of players and the possibility of losing more. Let’s hope we are still on an upwards trajectory. Wilf had to go one day, that day has come, and it’s nowhere near as disastrous as it might once have been. COYP, let’s do some business now and crack on with our post-Wilf era!!!!
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Galatasaray feels a bit underwhelming and a sad ending, but ultimately he’s got his dream of playing in the Champions League. A few away days in Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus. We can’t begrudge him that. He’s gone for football reasons over money which is a rare thing these days. Thank you for all the good memories. All time best player and a true club legend. Good luck and hope you win some silverware. The timing of the departure suits both parties. We’re no longer reliant on him and the reported £200k pw couldn’t be justified. That money can be better spent on strengthening the squad elsewhere. None of us know what happened behind the scenes with the contract negotiations. My guess is that it was difficult and emotional decision for him to make.

Hopefully he had the decency to tell Parish before he got on the plane! Interesting Sky sports saying Athletico Madrid and 2 other CL teams are interested and he still hasn’t signed anything so all options still on the table including Palace, but they show pictures tweeted by Galatasary of him on the plane with his son, then signing Galatasary shirts and wearing their scarf! Seems like it’s a done deal. Time to move on and offer Olise a new improved contract with some of the cash - one with a £100 million buy out clause! And while we’re at it lest tie Eze down as well.

Personally I’d have taken Lazio and living in Rome. Finished second last year so automatically in the CL group stage.Napoli fell straight into disarray having won it so a chance at a scudetto.

He has posted a classy message on Instagram, which is the way of the world these days. My hunch is that he already hears Time's footsteps creeping up on him, and he knows that in England he'll continue to be the target of excessively harsh tactical fouls, further hastening the frustration of not being as good as he once was. Staying at Palace might prove to be a long, slow letdown, tarnishing his reputation in his boyhood neighborhood. In Turkey, by contrast, he'll start with a clean slate. If he returns to form, he'll be a superstar. If not, he can accept the paychecks and the sunshine guilt-free, and enjoy more family time without the howl of tabloids and an impatient fan base.

Really weird move for me. He could've had the riches of Saudi Arabia...or the warm fuzzies of finishing his career at his boyhood club. Instead, he's opted for this awkward in-between that'll likely see him fade into obscurity. Weird.

My hometown team is Besiktas so this move hit me twice Palace lost Zaha and our rival in Turkey got stronger. This is why i can not wish the best for him. In summary, i never understood why Fenerbahçe was in picture with no CL ticket. Amount does not look so promising compared to Palace which means he is really keen for CL. Or 200k was never a reality? One tricky thing is CL spot for Galatasaray is not secured yet, but will have EL spot probably. I guess there is a concurrence that 200k p/w for 4 years was insane so let’s see how we will handle this. Need to move on and focus on building the team.
