A.Villa 'Net spend' over the last 2 seasons is approaching £230 Mill. Obviously FFP doesnt apply to them, as well as Brighton.

We need to go abroad. Dyche ain’t the one. I’d take Howe but it’s still not ideal. Are you sure you can judge Cooper on 30 minutes?

Rather hoping Brentford can do it, interested to see how Frank goes about the PL.

I am not entirely convinced the 'Europa League' exploits did them too many favours. That season they only won 2 of their first 15 league games and plummeted down the table finishing in 15th place.

Its compounded by the fact he hasn’t taken Swansea up. You're patronising and appear to be looking for an argument for some strange reason but Steve Cooper would be a f***ing bizarre appointment after today. Edited by Mstrobez (29 May 2021 4.44pm)

You appear to be looking for an argument by patronising me but Steve Cooper would be a very bizarre appointment after today. I'm with you Mstrobez. Frank got the better of Cooper from the start. Although his players have let him down too. Certainly wouldn't want Cooper at our place, not just based on today's performance either. Thomas Frank on the other hand......never going to happen. But the guy has charisma and presence as well as being tactically smart. Be interesting to see how we do against Brentford next season.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

Players shouldn't be judged on isolated games (even finals) and managers certainly shouldn't be. It's the wider picture that matters, and having kept Swansea competitive at the top end of the league despite them selling their best players every year, having hardly any money, and developing a few young players along the way, Coopers credentials are both clear and, to my mind, unaffected by today's result. Whether Cooper is the best person for us is another matter entirely of course.

Thomas Frank lost the same final last year but some on here would be happy if he was appointed. I'm still in favour of Dyche but have read a lot of positive things about Cooper.
