There is no such thing as equality whether that's racial or any other kind outside of the written. What you believe in are nice sounding words that have bad outcomes.

If my kid got offered a school place over a non-white British kid who lived next door, purely for that reason (and thank god it never would) there’s no way I would take it.

I believe Dan however it is never as simple as that.

Like all parents he will rationalise why his kid should get the space over the black kid e.g. my kid is smarter, better grades, etc. and he maybe right for all we know.
