So what was the end game here? Was this never to be reported? As regards the condemnation and isolation; how is that going?

Justice is the end game, delivered fairly and without prejudice.

It should be, and was, reported after due process and convictions.

How it is going is beyond my pay grade, but it looks like work in progress to me on a very long term project stretching over generations. What looks certain to me is that progress has been hindered by "Robinson".

I did not know that. Which did he expose? How did he find them? Is he a detective?

Or has he just jumped on pre-existing cases to make himself a cause celebre?

Shall we say that about the fecking Times reporters?

Pre-existing cases....what other fecking cases could he report on? Sodding cases before they happened!....Jesus H.

FFS.....Thousands of girls raped, this guy and his wife and children get death threats and you have the f***ing cheek to talk about 'cause celebre'!

Zero point....zero fecking point.

Prejudice is choosing white girls.
Prejudice is selecting to ignore the fact Muslim men were doing it.
Prejudice is trying everything to put a man in the slammer for highlighting it.

And how is justice the prerogative of the media? They weren’t this principled about broadcasting the name of a certain ageing singer were they? Widespread occurrences are public concerns - a showbiz example is just prurience.
The public, in this case, had a right to know what was happening to take steps to safeguard their sisters and daughters.
I know your sympathies aren’t more with the perpetrators than the victims but it’s starting to look that way.
Generations? God help those poor girls.

The media do not have any role in providing justice. That is for the justice system alone. All the media can do is exercise restraint if asked.

I condemn just as much as anyone else the media sensationalising stories just because a personality is involved.

We don't know what attempts were made to try to warn potential victims, by whom or when. I suspect it was done via the schools and social services. Why it failed is something yet to be understood. These are complicated issues with many strands.

My remark about this being a generational issue is not addressed to the immediate problem which clearly needs attention now. Crimes demand justice. I am talking about the longer term issues of replacing traditional values with British ones via education and cultural experiences.

A well reasoned response for which I’m grateful but weren’t you insisting a few days ago that there was no coercion involved in the non-reporting of these stories?

If he acted as a journalist - and that resulted in bringing people to justice - that would be good.

As far as I can see he didn’t. He failed to raise any new cases and obstructed rather than accelerated justice. He is lucky Canterbury wasn’t a mistrial

Find me an example where he has genuinely made a positive difference to a case please. So much misinformation in this case.

Replace Prejudice with Idiocy and this reads correctly.

Helps to know what to look for specifically when investigating/implementing a prevention program.

Funny how it's not racist when whites are the victims...

They were targeted for their colour and because of their colour, for sexual exploitation, by another race (racism), and a different nationality and culture (xenophobia). People with your views must be kept away from power forever.
