I suppose that part of the fun of boxing is the barber shop comparisons it throws up.

For me, Ali and Tyson in their prime beat everyone.

Holyfield was obviously on roids as was Tommy Morrison, and I'm sure others back then as now. What you can't take drugs for is natural talent.

As you say styles make fights, and human beings vary in performance. Two guys fight ten times and you will get a variety of outcomes if they are well matched.

Fury hasn't lost yet and like everyone else, I'm keen to see him fight Joshua and Usyk. Joshua is not ready yet, he has too many demons, and fighting Usyk right now carries too much baggage. When the war ends, if it ever does, I suspect we will see that fight.

I don't see Fury ever fighting Usyk.....We all knows he waffles but recently he's talking as if he just wants to fight exhibitions and leave boxing.

I can see AJ fighting Wilder......Hearn thinks Daniel Dubois wins his appeal.

I think the Hrgovic v Usyk fight will be good.

I want to know will Chisora ever retire? Hearn needs to stop booking him as he won't stop by his own accord.

Didn't see the Fury fight but it sounds as though he was a bit lucky to get the decision. Anyone watch it?

Just watched the highlights. It was a good fight and Ngannou did very well. However, Fury looked out of shape and you wonder if ,...a) did Fury do enough training ? or b) Is Fury well past his sell-by date ?

Boxing showed everything that is wrong with the sport last night too much hype with no decent product, with a dubious decision,
Nothing like the heavyweight division of the 90s when you had decent fights with far less hype and equally matched bouts people pay extra to watch these fights and are being taken for a ride.

Fury might even retire after that.

Or he might just want easier opponents so he can carry on picking up £10m every few months without putting his belts on the line.

Nah the whole thing was setup.

All these types of fights are a farce.

If these Pro really wanted to they could win these in first if not second round every time.

Money for old rope-a-dope....with the dopes being the normies to pay for those match ups.

Why does everything have to be about extracting the most money for the least quality.....boxing is seemingly obsessed with self harming.

The pendulum swung too much the other way and now the top boxers themselves have too much power and the product suffers.

It's just one long swerve-a-thon, with none of the big boys getting to fight one another for fear of,....losing a big pay day when they fall down the rankings.

The heavyweight division is just shockingly bad.

Yep, boxing at the top end is way overpaid for what it is putting out.

I was more interested in the Fabio Wardley fight, not because Wardley is anything special but because he's a likeable personality.

I can't accept that there wasn't some skulduggery in that fight.

There is no way that a man who had defeated Wilder twice (truthfully three times) beat Klitchko and made Dillian White and Dereck Chisora looks like chumps can suddenly be that bad against a novice boxer unless he wanted to look bad on purpose and or just didn't do any proper training for the fight.

My theory, albeit a cynical one, is that the fight with Usyk was looking like a certain win for Fury in many people's eyes and therefore had less appeal as a box office draw.
Now all the gullible punters will think that Fury has somehow lost it overnight and will be in a much closer fight with Usyk.

Fury has made more millions for himself and his promoters and Ngannou has a great introduction to boxing and will make loads of money for Saudi, his promoters and himself.

Everybody wins, and this fight will be forgotten when Fury beats Usyk and AJ.

Let's see how it pans out.

Richard Riakporhe is fighting next weekend against Frenchman Dylan Bregeon.
Good luck Richard. Bash him up and on to a world title fight.
