If the reports of fee are true and he is signed then, although its taken a while, it's been another shrewd bit of business by Parish. He did the same with Benteke last year and got 5m off, 6m with this deal. Obviously there are add-ons but the upfront outlay is 11m lighter which effectively gets us another player. Rumours of 3 players by close of play so, all being well that leaves 2 more, FDB will have been well and truly backed in the window and have no excuses but to get the team ticking. He may do deals late and drag his heels from time to time but he is no mug when it comes to money matters.

Not sure that is classified as Frank being "backed" although it's hard to tell how decisive and intuitive he himself has been during the window. Would hate to think Parish has decided against a number of Franks targets for the sake of Sakho as that simply isn't the right way to go about things, regardless of how us lot perceive him. As I said though, it could just be Steve attempting to save the day as Franks recruitment ideas have been lacklustre.
