Hamas of course give rewards to their murderers.....But it is no excuse for a blanket slate for those in the IDF who deliberately kill civilians.

I suppose I'm with the left in Israel who call for Israel to work with the moderates within Palestine instead of weakening them.

But not many people on both sides have any interest in peace at the moment.

The IDF reward their murderers with a pay packet! One could say through conscription, they are forcing people to become murderers.

Being in the IDF doesn't make you a murderer.

Would you call our RAF pilots in the second world war murderers for dropping bombs on German cities for example?

It's interesting.

Did the RAF target anywhere that they had been told there were children sleeping in a 'supposed' safe place?
That I feel is the difference.

I don't know why people are making such a fuss about anti-semitism.

Name one bad thing that has ever happened as a result of anti-semitism.

When you bomb or shell a civilian area really.....You know innocents are going to die.....Whether or not you know that child Jimbob is sleeping in place A or not becomes moot.

Innocents die in war.....And it's the hardest thing about it.

It's true, however, the fact that the IDF targeted a place that they had been told by the U. N was being used as a refuge, or a busy market during a ceasefire whilst innocents are stocking up on provisions does not put them in the best light.

West Germany is rebuilt by the Allies after the war and ends up becoming an economic powerhouse that indirectly controls the actions of other weak European states.

It was well known in Bomber Command that the weapons were not sophisticated enough for precision bombing and that cities/targets right by cities were being targeted. One example: July 1943 RAF/USAAF bombing of Hamburg,42,600 dead,37,000 injured in one week

We were the originators of bombing civilians to curb an uprising, in Iraq in 1920 (which we administered after World War 1)

"Several months later, a widespread uprising broke out, which was only put down through months of heavy aerial bombardment, including the use of mustard gas. At the height of the suppression, both Churchill and Trenchard tried to put the most flattering light upon actions of the Royal Air Force.

British historian David Omissi, author of Air Power and Colonial Control: The Royal Air Force 1919-1939, records: “During the first week of July there was fierce fighting around Samawa and Rumaitha on the Euphrates but, Churchill told the Cabinet on 7 July, ‘our attack was successful.... The enemy were bombed and machine-gunned with effect by aeroplanes which cooperated with the troops’.”

The order issued by one RAF wing commander, J.A. Chamier, specified: “The attack with bombs and machine guns must be relentless and unremitting and carried on continuously by day and night, on houses, inhabitants, crops and cattle.”
