Hydrogen fuel cells are the way forward according to the Toyota UK Chairman, as electric cars have huge carbon footprint needing power stations galore. I saw a Dutch solar powered car at the weekend a prototype so the boundaries are being pushed all the time. Who knows in 2040 electric cars may well be obsolete. How the earth was created I don't know but everything was provided, the sun the wind, foolish mankind just goes on its destructive path.

Why do you think there are concerted campaigns against Corbyn, Murdoch's got his fingers in oil. Corbyn wants to break the status quo.

Are cracks starting to appear within the 27 of the EU? Seems an odd thing for Tusk to come out with this rhetoric? It certainly appears that both Tusk and Junker seem to be obsessed with driving the hardest exits at the expense of a cordial and mutually beneficial one...but I guess that's the point...anything other than us leaving with our tail between our legs weakens the EU's foundations (?)

Ouch! But no more than most of us on here have been saying.... "And Hans-Olaf Henkel, a German MEP from the Conservatives and Reformists Group in the European Parliament, urged Mr Tusk and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker to demonstrate more of the "British values of fairness".

Do you use shops, supermarkets, have parcels delivered. In terms of reducing emissions, that's whats required - Rather than 30 people going out to pick up x, y and z in their cars, one person delivering it. Similar to public transport - London has magnificent public transport links. Seriously, I often wonder why people in London actually drive or own cars. Better 40 people on a bus, than what you tend to get outside out side major town and city areas, which is 40 people individually driving into an town or city, because the bus goes once an hour from the otherside of town and turns up only 3 in 4 times.

Empty the roads and people will drive their cars.
