Maybe him and wissy are sitting over a half of real ale discussing how they can shut down HOL. You do get a sense that there is a hardline element of past posters who would love to shutdown Hol.

Read the threads badger. I haven't seen anything from either party that was out of order however I don't read every thread and sometimes people communicate privately. Anyway I don't want to get in the middle of it just a pity this couldn't be sorted amicably.

There's been no private communication other than the email he sent. Maybe there's been a rather large consumption of some mind altering substance.

Back on topic Business rates seems to be back on the agenda for the 2 main parties. Most people think they are too high and I tend to agree. As the revenue goes to the local councils I would allow them to adjust the tax within a set of parameters. Some businesses contribute to the community and local economy and others "take away" (geddit). So I would have no problem with a council putting more rates on bookies and "take aways" whilst reducing the tax for other local shops etc. The key thing I would tell the councils is that it has to be tax revenue neutral so if you drop it for some others have to pay more. After that it's up to the voters if they like what the council does. The alternative is something radical like a local sales tax although I am not sure of the pros and cons of that. Anyway neither Labour or the Tories seem to have a plan beyond the vague promise that they will look at it which I think they have now said for a number of elections.

A file of the offending material has been provided and I have been instructed not to reply to your posts in future pending their investigations.' The guy never asks me to stop replying to him or indicates a problem.....just sends me this. Weird. Edited by Stirlingsays (18 Nov 2019 5.04pm) What a snowflake
