To bring Trump into this thread, as was done by one of the major purveyors of conspiracy theories here a few posts ago, is very inappropriate. Nevertheless the slurs cannot be ignored. Misrepresentation of this type is what is leading to the unrest we are now witnessing.

When I referred to the doubts that were being expressed by some on whether Trump had actually been hit they were based on what was known at the time. I said then that he had probably been grazed but that his pet doctor (not those at the hospital) had made political capital out of it by using a huge and unnecessary bandage, when just a clip and gauze were needed.

That has actually now been confirmed and my opinion remains exactly the same. This doctor rushed from his home to take over and present a narrative. That in no way diminishes the crime, or how lucky he was. It just confirms that those around him cannot be trusted anymore than he can.

It's funny how you've never seen anything that would contradict your narcissistic narrative. It was on the BBC 10 o'clock news for goodness sake and it's all over the internet. Your last paragraph is beneath contempt. Possession of an offensive weapon is a crime that carries a lengthy prison sentence regardless of whatever the perpetrator's own justification may or may not be.

Cause: 3 girls being stabbed to death; a culmination of attacks. Effect: a fed up public showing their disgust at a lack of government protection for the UK population.

Have the riots deterred further attacks by showing that the population won’t stand for it any longer? Let’s see what happens; no more attacks could lead to no more protests. Another attack and expect another round of riots.
