You calling me a conspiracy theorist is quite something.

You spent years on the Trump thread spreading debunked theories over Russia-gate and stating that Trump was going to jail. I told you from the start that he wasn't and then when eventually the case closed you moved the goalposts (wait five years) making yourself look the utter dishonest individual you are.

You don't find me doing that.

Where I agree with Watson I have no issues promoting him. If people want to look into him I have no issues with that.....though of course they should understand the objectivity of whatever site they are using.

As for you suggesting that the world isn't controlled by the elites, anyone who pushes that is either a liar or wholly ignorant or uninterested in the events around them.

I will repeat, just in case you genuinely missed it. There are no conspiracy theories involved over Trump. That you seem to think that the allegations have been debunked says all that is really necessary. You might be willing to swallow that bs but those with even a modicum of objectivity don't. That he managed, assisted by Barr, to escape the direct consequences of his behaviour doesn't mean he wasn't complicit. It just means he hasn't been held accountable. Yet. The case isn't closed at all. It's been moved to other courts. The first being the court of public opinion where he lost comprehensively and managed to further damage himself in the process. There will be others. The upcoming financial cases being the next. He will get skewered. People like him always are eventually.

That you seem to think stating the obvious is dishonest says quite a lot when the obvious is all out there, on record and in plain view.

That you seem to be fixated on this illusion that the world is controlled by "elites" adds even more about the way your mind works. Of course there are many strata in our modern interconnected world, some of which possess more influence than others. That they are trying to, or even capable of, control is quite frankly risible. The notion is ridiculous. The most any could hope to do is influence events.

You had an opportunity to argue against what was in Watson's video but instead you focused on playing the man and not his ball.

I could go on with this topic for many pages but I just can't motivate myself to.

You see we really dislike each other and to be honest half of anything we post will be ad hominem and while I think you're a disgusting person frankly finding different ways of saying the same thing bores me.

I've covered what I wished to say on Watson and you and unless there is something new to comment on frankly I don't wish to bore people in endless insult cycles with you, which I know I'm going to be partly responsible for.

So have your blue anon reply and then hopefully I can leave your commentary alone for a bit.

It is.

However, while as a layman I could be completely wrong, I reserve some skepticism as to the report's conclusions which appear to hold to the Democrat's previously announced foreign policy attitudes.

Having lived through the Iraq war and its subsequent missing mass destruction weapons I'm well aware of the tendency of security services to somehow magically support the direction that their paymasters wish to travel down.

You are, not for the first time, spectacularly missing the point. I wasn't attacking Watson at all. There is no need to do that. He condemns himself. So no ad hominem involved with Watson as he wasn't the subject.

All I was doing was drawing attention to where you look to find support for your views. That you have then spent time and effort defending Watson has provided some quite delicious support for my original assertions.

So you think I am a disgusting person! I know I would much prefer to be me than you. You must be really unhappy thinking the way you do. It's neither natural nor leading anywhere worthwhile. I could offer pages of analysis on why your views are wrong, but there's no point at all. You won't change, but fortunately there's not enough who think like you to be anything other than an irritating sideshow.

Once again, without realising it perhaps, you add fuel to the pyre you routinely build around yourself. You use another "new right" intended insult to your text with "blue anon". Where have "snowflake" and "woke" gone? Just out of fashion perhaps. All this does is demonstrate your lack of original thinking and reliance on self-opinionated prats. Like Watson.

Sure, but the bit I was interested in was the general conclusion that Russian influence via spies, bots, hackers was certainly more than just a hobby strategy, but even with all that effort the end result has been overblown compared to the actions and lies of domestic politicians during the same timeframe...

“Important to be cautious here. None of this influence activity was strategically significant or effective. Russian activity in 2020 was less impressive than in 2016. And a hard look at the data shows that—highly likely—not even 2016 moved the needle.”

So in other words, both 'sides' of this debate are right in regards to Russian involvement in attempting to sabotage the US elections, and the fact that even with significant resources they had at best a very marginal impact.

As for collusion – of course there may well be bias depending who is at the top of the tree but the argument that it would be hard for Russia to be as involved as they were without some form of inside guidance isn't an easy one to simply dismiss.

An interesting read.

Most of this has been well known for some time but it is nevertheless interesting to read the assessments. What is new to me is Iran's activity, though I doubt if they possess either the skills or resources to be very effective. That's just a hunch though. The confirmation of the Russian sponsored activity, which was continued from 2016, in spreading rumours about Biden whilst boosting Trump is no surprise to me. How much Trump knew, and whether he was involved, remains unknown, but I have my suspicions. I bet the security services know though.

Entirely your right to consider me as a prat. At least though my opinions are my own and not cloned from dubious videos produced by conspiracy theorists who work for the biggest con merchant on the alt right.

When it comes to the actual interference in elections I do think it happens. It would be naïve to believe that it doesn't when the outcome can have such short term impacts for competing opposed countries. However the nature and extent of the interference is another topic altogether.

Mere morals like us only exist on the observing the observers level. We have to base our opinions on probabilities rather than faith or at least I do.

In that regard the older I've got the more skeptical I've become on anything official. That doesn't mean I'm right of course, it just means I bite down on the gold coin before I accept it and I'm sure you're the same.

So I'd say I'm much more interested in what these institutions and governments actually do over than whether their justifications are real or not or somewhere in-between.

In that sense it all kind of becomes a lot easier, especially when you look at who Biden appoints as it was for Trump.
