Think Roy will be allowed to finish the season. Hopefully discussions behind the scenes are going on now and a definite decision has been made for the end of the season between him and the chairman/owners etc. It would of been nice to have a manager already in the wings, not Dougie please. Gaining experience from Roy, not suggesting they put in place everything from his tenure. Also replacements at the moment look thin on the ground. Putting a new, unproven PL manager now would be a huge gamble, compared to say the beginning of next season, where things can be rectified over a longer time period if need be. The trouble fans fail to understand is that the squad we have at the moment would struggle with Klopp in charge and all the sensible fans on here know this, making a change now or next season or the one after is going to be painful no matter what.

What on earth are you going on about...? So your plan is a 3 year plan is to progress with a 73 year old Manager, who’s tactics and philosophies are proving outdated - are you for real..!! Irrespective of whether my views are correct I’m sure even Roy himself wouldn’t sign up for another 3 years..!! Reason Liverpool are doing so well is that they have a “young” and hungry Manager who wants to make his mark and get to the top of the pile - which I suspect in Klopp’s case is Managing the German National side as and when the opportunity presents itself. As for if Klopp were in charge of Palace I entirely disagree - we have a talented squad that a younger more expansive Manager would get far more out of and certainly wouldn’t have got spanked 7 zip at home..!! As for a 3 year plan - we are in the here and now, so need to build on, move on and progress from the here and now. Not stand still with a 73 year old Manager who IMO is past his sell by date..!! COYP What I suggested was that no matter who we bring in the results will not be much different, Klopp would want to spend wouldn't he, what makes you believe that if for example Eddie Howe steps in (which I feel should be sooner then three years but would not upset me or the clubs standing if it wasn't) and demanded money for new players which everyone knows we need will actually be granted sufficient amounts of it to achieve the opportunity of better results.

IMO - you’re wrong a younger Manager with fresh ideas and tactics would get far more out of this squad than Roy..!! Every Manager including Roy wants to spend to improve their squad - where I don’t trust Roy is even when those resources are available to him - he doesn’t use them - it took him c.6 games to realise Eze should be starting every game if fit. Look at yesterday he plays Ayew over Bats. Beyond that all season long we’ve defended too narrow - Roy knows he’s up against TAA and Robertson who will push on as fullbacks so you need to counter that - so play Townsend and Schlupp wide to cover back and protect Clyne and PVA - no he doesn't so we get gubbed big time..!! It’s not me being wise after the event - it’s as plain as the nose on your face..!! Roy’s time is run and as for giving him another 3 years - yeah good luck with that if you want to be Sunderland..!! We wouldn't be able to cope with the work rate managers like Bielsa or Klopp would demand. Our fitness has not been good enough for some time.

Same as saying the players Klopp would inherit with us are not good enough, or are you suggesting our coaching staff is failing through fitness? I'd much prefer to discus this with fans who want Roy out rather then just a shouting match which achieves nothing whatsoever but distain towards each other when in actual fact we all want the same outcome don't we, come on people lets all be nice to each other and stop winding each other up.

Our squad isn't one that would suit an all out pressing game. We would be badly found out. We lack pace anyway.

COYP Totally agree with you here. there is no way the ambitions of a 73 yr old manager can be the same with young buck players trying to make their way.
