To Be honest Chelski, while Jose is a great manager. I could win the title with the team you have got so he isn't that great pal.

I actually think that's not true at all!!! He identified the players we needed to go the next step last season. His tactics are brilliant. He has proved not just at Chelsea but at other clubs that he is the best manager out there!!
He'd even make you lot look good

Haha I like your funny response.

Im pretty sure I could though with all the money that gets thrown about your club.

He is a good manage don't get me wrong, it would show his talent in a side like ours but for Chelsea any top flight manager could take the job and win the league.

Brilliant tactics? Parking the Chelsea Bus?

Parking the bus is a great tactic if you have players to do it and it wins the game lol

He showed his talent by winning the Champions league with Porto and winning the treble with Inter Milan ( a side that plummeted after he left). With Inter Milan they defeated the 'mighty' Barcelona in the semi's and Bayern Munich in the final.

The man is a genius!! However your lot might be a step too far

Yeah like I said I believe he is one of the best managers around but the real test would be to put him in a Newcastle or Aston Villa team and see if he can still cut the mustard.

haha we all know Jose is a Palace fan

Shame your sh1t fans aren't as vocal as you at supporting your club.

YAWN! this old rubbish comment. What do you know about how vocal our fans are? Like all fans. Sometimes they are fantastic and sometimes they aren't so good. I have experienced both. At WBA away the Chelsea fans were fantastic!
In terms of my experience of Palace fans and how vocal they are. I would say last year at our place you were a lot better than this year. Maybe this year the game didn't mean so much so you were less vocal?

The truth is...we don't ! We have to rely on what your manager says, from the Telegraph last year...

Jose Mourinho: Chelsea fans are so quiet it feels like we are playing in an empty stadium at Stamford Bridge

Yep, but if you are going to quote that article you really need not to deliberately ignore all the quotes and the context it was written in.
He was referring to the lack of atmosphere at so-called 'soft' games at home.
Chelsea isn't any different to every club. The atmosphere at lesser games isn't often good enough and Mourinho was correct to highlight this.
However, it doesn't therefore mean that the atmosphere is always bad. Far from it. In fact since that statement the atmosphere has improved.
Against Palace this year, as I said, I was disappointed with how much less vocal you were than last year. The reason?? Well, of course, the game didn't mean as much because it was a 'dead rubber' for you and you knew we would win.

Aah...the '' soft games ''....that's the type of arrogant remark that makes your club so unlovable. In which case then, I wonder why the average Chelsea fan bothers with such games...they clearly don't believe their team need their support. Although the manager does...

I have a lot of ' old school ' Chelsea mates that think the atmosphere at the Bridge is largely rubbish.

Not that any of this really matters. It will be the same next season, Abramovitch splashing the cash and Chelsea in their mini league with the other usual suspects.

I said so-called soft games!!!

In terms of these 'old' school fans. I hear this a lot on this site. Who are these people exactly??? Not real fans if they don't go any more (not even to away games where the atmospheres is a good as it gets). I can only guess but I assume they crave 'the good old days' of beer sold in the ground; the atmosphere being such that no one of a different ethnic background or gender would want to attend, and the 'joy' of being on the terraces with the Chelsea headhunters!!!

Times have changed, and mostly for the better!! Hence, Chelsea is a world-wide club that results in them being mobbed by hundreds of fans in Thailand and Sydney. A negative is that, yes we have some tourists, but the vast amount of supporters are local based season ticket holders!! I go weekly and the atmosphere has been fantastic at times this year. Sometimes it has been poor.

People refer to one reference of concern about atmosphere yet there are hundreds of fantastic references to our fans support. Note the tens of thousands who attended our parade last week

In terms of Abramovich splashing the cash. I am not sure we need him too and he hasn't for a few years now!! Chelsea have a long term plan of developing young players that clearly appears to be working, with us having the best academy in Europe!

PS whens your new American owners coming?? How did they make their money??

My Chelsea mates have absolutely ZERO to do with the Headhunters or any of that ilk - what a preposterous assumption to make !

They do go to games, all season ticket holders. They travel all over Europe too. By ' old school ' I mean they were season ticket holders when you were on your uppers pre Bates days.

As they are my mates, I'm genuinely pleased for them that their club has won something. I drank with them for a few hours after the Palace game as they celebrated. I still loathe Chelsea as a club though, and have done since Abramovitch ruined the Premier League - just my opinion, and it won't change so save yourself that effort !

They reckon the atmosphere isn't as good as it should be - who am i to disagree ?!

PS - We haven't got any American owners on the way, our owners are looking for investors, they don't want to sell unless the prospective buyers pass their own due diligence. But thanks for asking.

I never suggested your friends had anything to do with Chelsea head hunters. If you read what I said I was referring generally to you and others on this site that go on about knowing 'old school' Chelsea fans. I was questioning who these were and what was so good about the 'good old days'?????

I have been a Chelsea fan/season ticket holder for over 20 years but I don't share the view often expressed about the 'good old days' of football where I stood on the terraces and was surrounded by a bunch of racist, sexist bigots (not everyone but a significant majority). Having endured that nonsense we then had the 'pleasure' of witnessing individuals punching and kicking the hell out of each other and anyone else they felt like.

I was pre-Bates (not on any uppers by the way)and Chelsea was a shadow of the fantastic international club it is now. The Premier League is a brilliant product (shown by the full house at Palace every home game!!!). I have no idea how you think Abramovich has ruined the league??? WHY? Evidence???

In terms of your new owners/investors. I don't know who they may be. However, I guarantee one thing. If their investment means Palace progress as a team and club and begin to challenge for trophies you'll need a bigger stadium to get all the 'new' fans in. You may feel that the Premier League is a ruined product but thankfully tens of thousands of other Palace fans don't agree with you and nor will the tens of thousands more that would attend your games!!

OR we could just bring back the 'good old days'?!?!?!??!?!?!

Do you think then that seating has driven the '' racist, sexist bigots '' out of the your club ? Sorry if you don't like it and frankly I'm bored with this part of our discussion, so I'm parking this !

How did Abramovich ruin the game ? - by throwing ridiculous amounts of money into it. In my opinion he is the cause of creating the ' mini league ' within the Premier. I don't suppose there are any Chelsea fans that subscribe to this viewpoint and I don't expect you to. That is my perception and it's one shared by most people I know. Don't get me wrong...I want Palace in the Premier League and I want to see the top players...but it's hardly competitive now is it ? Can you see any club challenging the current top 4 without an Abramovich / Arab style investment being made ??

CPFC needs investors to make a new stadium financially viable. We could probably do with an increase in capacity, but another 5k with maybe future potential to extend by another 5k is probably about right for our fan base.

On first paragraph i'll make one comment and that is NO its hasn't driven all the racist bigots out but its a hugely improved, hence the greater diversity of people seen at football matches (better since we became a world wide club to be honest).

In terms of Abramovich investment I cant see how your argument holds true in terms of creating a mini league. All he has done is put US in that league. Prior to his arrival football was dominated for years by Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool. You have to go back pre-70's to find a wider range of winners. After that the 'big' clubs dominated.
On the contrary I would argue that Abramovich has been fantastic for the premier league and Palace should be grateful for his investment, as should English football as a whole.
A main reason that the premier league is such a fantastic product world wide, which generates huge amounts of TV money, is that it is so competitive!! Its competitive because the big clubs have invested millions in bringing and nurturing talent and developing their business in the world market! Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United are world wide products that attract huge support wherever they go. 83 000 watched us play in Sydney. This in turn means TV money is massive from international TV companies! This TV money is distributed throughout the Premier League teams, hence the lowest team in the premier league is in the top 40 richest clubs in Europe. Palace is benefitting directly from the success of the big clubs (unlike Spain where Barcelona and Real Madrid pocket their own TV deals). They can spend significantly more money on players and their academy due directly to the success and benevolence of the big clubs.
In actually makes me laugh a little when I hear other supporters complain about the investments made by the big clubs. The main reason their club is doing so well financially and hence on the pitch is due to the money they receive from the 'premier league product'. That product would be significantly diminished without the Abramovich's of this world.

Your own Manager said you were s***, and also (im assuming - because we were so quiet) clapped us Palace fans IN YOUR OWN GROUND.

The loudest thing ever sung at your ground is "is this the Emirates".

If Palace ever get some multi gazillionaire Russian crook to pay anyone we want, I hope and prey it doesnt lead to boring prawn sandwhich munchers like your good self flooding Selhurst and ruining one of the, if not the best atmospheres of any Premiership ground.

Wow you managed to write all that without any reference to facts!! Lots of assumption and lots of nonsense!!

No Assumption, No Nonsense, JUST FACTS.

Jose DID clap Palace Fans in your Ground, I was there I witnessed it.

Your Ground IS quiet.

Abramovich HAS BEEN INVESTIGATED more times than you've fallen asleep at the Bridge, hence Crook.

And the last comment I made about hoping an influx of foreign wealth doesnt ruin the atmosphere at Selhurst is just that A HOPE.

Youy really are a bit on the dim side .

All he has done is to drive prices up !! And those that can't afford to match his money - 95% of football - can't compete. To quote Jose Mourinho '' the contenders will always be the same, the same teams who have

economically the potential to buy the best players ....get it ??

To Be honest Chelski, while Jose is a great manager. I could win the title with the team you have got so he isn't that great pal.

I actually think that's not true at all!!! He identified the players we needed to go the next step last season. His tactics are brilliant. He has proved not just at Chelsea but at other clubs that he is the best manager out there!!
He'd even make you lot look good

Yeah he identified Costa - a player who was massively linked with the top clubs in Europe.
Also identified Cesc I presume? Someone who was evidently leaving Barcelona...

He didn't sign any hidden gems, he simply signed big names. I'd hardly say he identified them.

He's a good manager no doubt, but what he did this season wasnt that great.
