Although the IRA era was scary and they had considerably more bombs than this oresent lot,the number of active IRA members are less than what we are facing now. Thats what i believe obviously the blitz was a whole different ball game. There was never over 3000 active filesbon the ira suspects. always a Norwood boy, where ever I live.

Sorry kermit i disagree.
Although the IRA era was scary and they had considerably more bombs than this oresent lot,the number of active IRA members are less than what we are facing now.
Thats what i believe obviously the blitz was a whole different ball game.

You are missing the point (probably deliberately),in your world we should be more worried about a couple of hundred bonehead idiots than the over 3000 active terrorists that the security services are monitoring.

Probably in the years just after Bloody Sunday when the attacks here and in NI (all part of the UK) were ferocious and frequent. Still a long way to go to get to that level thank christ. It was people like him that invented concentration camps in the Second Boer War. A report after the war concluded that 27,927 Boers (of whom 22,074 were children under 16) and 14,154 black Africans had died of starvation, disease and exposure in the camps.

Perhaps in modern history the British were the first to use phrases like 'by any means necessary'?

True,but if the truth is known we have no idea how many potential jihadists we have here,or the ones that will be coming back from Syria or Iraqi.

850 from the UK left for Syria it has been reported recently and plenty of them would have been killed there or arrested on return or are just not coming back.

It also suggests that you actually quite like the fact there are more hate crimes and far right parties gaining traction across Europe. Number one,i have never said that i like the fact " far right parties" have gained momentum.
Because they are anti immigration does that mean they have to be far right.
