Just some information really. My sister tested positive after working at a school in November 2020. She spent 10 days in bed and recovered. And tested negative. What symptoms has she had? I don’t believe anyone has Covid unless they can’t taste or smell. I’ve spoken to a quite a few people now and they all say they couldn’t taste anything. Tea tasted like water. Even spicy food is tasteless.

But got a negative result in between the 2 positives.

I live in a village with about 1500 population. The first person to get Covid19 was a lady in her 60's (only just moved here from Forest Hill). She had Covid in May (ish), spent 21 days in a coma in Eastbourne hospital. She came home a few weeks later, but she still has difficulty walking and needs corrective surgery on her legs when hospitals are able to do routine surgery again. Doctors told her husband they thought she would die, at her lowest point. 2 shop workers in village. The male in his 40's spent 2 weeks in Hospital (missing Christmas with his family) and came home around the 30th December. One of the shop owners kids tested positive after returning to school, and they think the kid is the most likely source How old is the child? They don’t think the shop may be the reason? Village shops must be difficult with them being places where there’s social interaction. I’ve heard of or spoken to quite a few people who’ve had it now and apart from one quite old overweight lady who had similar to glandular fever and extremely sore eyes, none of them had any difficulty at all. A week of serious fatigue and loss of taste. Haven’t even heard of any coughing, let alone breathing problems. Oh actually one had breathing problems early summer although I’m not sure if his son was exaggerating as I know he wasn’t socially distancing before or after that so there you are. I heard and saw online that an ambulance paramedic living in Caterham very sadly died in the summer.

So can anyone explain this to me please. I could not see kids at Christmas due to T4 restrictions. Wife spent her shift yesterday dealing with thousands of travellers who had been all over Europe visiting families for Christmas. They arrived into a T4 area and were then travelling all over the U.K.

During the last week and more I’ve seen lots of groups of large families out walking with offspring who I doubt live with their parents. On Christmas Day I did a presents exchange but there were vulnerable people involved so it was a responsible one. There were many cars on the road. They weren’t all doing an outdoor presents exchange. I saw the rules increasing compliance, not strict policing of the rules. There are lots of cars in the road during the day. They aren’t all working or picking up groceries and medication. The roads are very quiet at night. Elderly people are mostly staying in. If they could know which comfortable older people could hold out on the vaccine it could help, but it looks like the 2nd dose isn’t going to happen anyway. Let’s hope the 2nd one happens within the time needed after the 1st dose, or there will be further delays to staggering back to normality. That could be a lot longer than some people still think.

I am reconciled to the fact that it will be the middle of the year,at the earliest, before we see any return to some form of normality. The idea that we will be in a much better place by Easter/spring is "For the birds". We have an exceedingly bumpy road ahead, the vaccination roll-out will have its issues with the rate far below what has appeared in headline figures.

When Red Andy Marr when told Boris he ‘’wasn’t/hadn’t followed the science’’, Boris replied, ‘’The science isn’t unanimous.’’ A little hope that Boris still has some bollox left for times ahead and another sign he thinks slightly differently to what has been decided, as we saw in one presentation a few months ago. But tiers are going to get tougher soon.

BJ says schools are safe environments, and get kids to school on Monday!!. And yet BJ also says a total lock down may happen soon. There are many Cv19 ingnorants out there. Most of them appear to be in government. The best statement I heard on TV yesterday was from an impartial Doctor. But you and I are Governed by Public School morons,..

Look at the exam result kick off when everyone felt downgraded. Then suddenly A's were the norm! I actually think it is behaviour outside schools as you say. It wouldn't matter if school were open or shut as that wont change. My uman rights etc

She is a doctor and completely clueless on the issues of having schools closed for 7 months.

Lockdown the country for 2 months all areas to stop it spreading. Close the schools for the same period. Use the closed schools as mass vaccination sites.
