Shields was very good and if she carried any power would be untouchable. Thought Marshall did well but her herky-jerky style didn't allow her to plant her feet and put any power into her punches which in turn took away her main weapon.

Dodgy result in the main support act between the 2 yanks. Mayer won it by 3 or 4 rounds but 2 of the English judges gave it to Baumgartner by a round.
The crowd booed. I don't think anything dodgy about it just that they where watching a different fight to everyone else!

I thought Shields v Marshall was a great fight and I'm not normally a fan of women's boxing but it was superb. Exactly as you say if Shields carried power she would be untouchable. She's extremely talented and her speed and accuracy saw her through in the end. Marshall gave it her all though so fair play.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Wilder dispatched Helenius at the end of round 1. Not really any surprises there, but Wilder's hand-speed is supersonic. I have to watch the replay in slow motion to actually catch it.
Whoever he's put against will be in a high-risk zone. Don't see Usyk or Joshua wanting any of that, although Fury has already beaten him enough already.

I totally disagree with you. To me it was just Wilder knocking out another bum which is his level. Fury showed him up for the technically very limited fighter he is.

Can't believe to be honest you've said Usyk wouldn't want any of Wilder. In my opinion Usyk would totally show Wilder up. It would be like a cat playing with a mouse. Usyk really is that good.

Dillian Whyte does the job on Jermaine Franklin last night, and therefore is now due a shot at Anthony Joshua.

I wonder what team Joshua will do ,....? (perchance a lot of talking and a massive Swweeeerve)

The only fight for him really.
Fury not happening
Usyk we don’t need to see that again
Joyce/duboisi don’t think AJ would gain much from winning, there’s a good chance he would lose
Wilder there’s a good chance he gets sparked out to someone on a losing streak

You make some good points casual. AJ always seems to talk a good fight, but as soon as he steps in the ring, looks immediately highly vulnerable.
Don't know what's happened to AJ. Seems that Ruiz found him out and Joshua hasn't fought (like he can) since.

Fair play to him. Just wish he was a few years younger but then he probably does too.

Up next: Chris Billam Smith at Selhurst in June. Just a thought (but why not?)

He's good to watch isn't he? Moves well and has got some power. Seems like a good bloke too , being a Palace fan is a bonus.
I've enjoyed Adam Aziz's fights as well - his next is on 11 Feb.

He has got genuine power. Broke a guys ribs in a previous fight. Such a shame he took up boxing late, but could still go all the way. I certainly would not want to take a punch off him.
