That is nothing new by Steve Parish - at the launch of the artists impressions and the model of the New Main Stand (early December 2017) he mentioned selling multiple year season tickets or debentures to help fund it. Anyone buying those would surely jump the queue to choose seats in the new Main Stand. The best 'normal' seats in the Main Stand (blocks E and F either side of the Directors Box) are already £680 a season at early bird price. Can't imagine many could afford 5 or 10 years at that rate (maybe more pr season as the new stand will surely be more expensive than the old wooden one) [Link]
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

Conversely, what's your 'solid reason' for moving the existing singing section from Block B? Because I for one have no idea why the HF should want this to happen other than to give themselves a better view of the game - without a care in the World for those who they feel are inferior to themselves. To allow the singing section to grow and to emulate the Ultra's of some of the European teams, remember how it looked at sounded at Wembley ? imagine that at every home game. To Improve on the atmosphere at Selhurst getting it back to how it used to be and moving on to make it even better. To generate revenue for the club in HF Merchandise, Whether you agree or like them is immaterial the HF could well be a valuable marketable commodity for the club to exploit, paying members etc etc all good stuff. They have been around 13 years and are a very established part of our support that are very Vocal and put there hands in their own pockets for displays etc that we all enjoy and are proud of. Surely the hard work they put in for Match days gives them some credence over Your average supporter (myself included). But the main reason, is that it will be for the good and benefit for the club as whole, yes some people such as the people on here who refuse to debate and just insult me , may have to move seats, and personally I see that as a small price to pay for improving the atmosphere making it the best in the premiership and the envy of every other club in the UK. And I am sorry to say the small mindedness of a few on here is exactly why we will always be a small club in South London if they had their way. It's almost as if because they've been going for a number of years it gives them some higher power and importance over other fans who actually dig deep for the club, which is exactly what they accuse the HF of. The HF could be a very marketable brand for the club and I think SP is well aware of that, and in this premiership era money talks loudest of all. I really feel for George and Mildred who have sat there for years and been (quiet) loyal supporters, but times change, things move on and standing in the way of progress is a very inward way of looking at things. Incidentally I would move in a heart beat before you ask. I also have been going to Palace since I was about 6 so been supporting the mighty Palace for 40 odd years, so just as long in tooth as some of the people on here who think SP should hang his head in shame (LOL) but I'm not adverse to change especially if it improves the atmosphere at our club, which currently is flatter than a witches tit.

Not liking the noises being made about price and funding of the new stand by those who attended meetings at the club today. Also looks like the HF haven't yet decided whether to accept what's on offer. This doesn't suprise me. They're not going to want to be at the back of the stand . Imagine what's going to happen when we score and the players run behind the goal to celebrate with them. There's going to be an almighty crush as the HF run down to the front.

There's going to be an almighty crush as the HF run down to the front. It’s quite a run from the back 400 seats to get to a player who’ll be on the halfway line by the time the fan has got anywhere near the front. The HF could just go in place of the current front half of block E that stand and they go at the back. Then I think why aren’t they being moved and not the E400? The HF not agreeing yet is possibly more a case of Parish only delivering a singing section of 400 rather than the full reset and the HF probably seeing it branching out and filling F,E,D. I’d like a reset, but when you read the BBS thread you can see why Parish has gone for upsetting 400 instead of however many in the lower tier, even though there’s going to be some unhappy who are going to be too close to the HF and some unhappy they will be too far away. This mish mash of singing and standing-standing not singing-singing and standing on one side and just sitting quietly on the other is far from ideal or what the HF vision was, and it’s going to take seasons of swapping rather than growing to sort it all out.

Or maybe the HF haven’t accepted yet because they want to see it all happen, signed and sealed after whatever went on and didn’t eventually happen.

My feeling is there will be another twist to this & come the start of next season, you will find the HF at the FRONT of Block E . . Just my opinion.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Relegtion will solve all the poblems re seats being available. The HF wil have half of Selhurst Park to choose fromalthough doubt what atmosphere there will be wont be much wih only 10000 or so in the ground for most macthe' Parish should stop farting around with this singing section and concentrate all his efforts on the football side of things ie the scouting set up etc and the January window to enure we sty in the PL.

You could put the current front half of E at the back of B and the current back of B at the back of E which will effectively be a B block move into E block.
