Ignore bicyle repair mans comments he's just a sad wind up merchant.Basically a keyboard warrior, like to see him face to face with the HF,maybe he wouldn't be so clever.

THIS...........I have it on good authority that a group of fans have been given permission to bring a drum in today. Was that banging noise a drum? Thought it was someone hitting a chair. Atmosphere even worse than the Liverpool game. Utterly dreadful. Silence for most of the game. Takers hitting post!! in my dreams lol :-)

All those people who hated the HF and comforted themselves with the thought that 'selhurst would be a great atmosphere without the HF' have been emphatically proven wrong. I'm a 38 year old fan whose suppprted palace for 30 years. I'm too old to be a member of the HF and wouldn't want to be either. But, I can see what they bring to the party. Today, when things weren't working the fans turned and the atmosphere was terrible. Before, I loved hearing people say that 'despite how we're playing the fans are behind the players 100%'. Well that just isn't the case now!

The atmosphere isn’t as good but had no bearing on what happened on the pitch today and our home form hasn’t been that good over the last few years anyway. Edited by Rachid Rachid Rachid (01 Sep 2018 11.31pm)

First home game of the season for me, what a difference the HF make. Most unenjoyable home game for about 15 years. Not sure I want to come back again at the moment. Thought we played quite well second half and probably deserved a draw. The Palace matchday experience is now dead. Those fans on this thread who think the HF make no difference are either morons or liars. The sooner they’re back, the better for everyone.

The atmosphere was poor today. People were trying, hats off to everyone for that but it just wasn’t happening. Not helped by the lack lustre performance I know but my 9 year old, who doesn’t relate to or understand any of the politics involved, just misses joining in with the songs and the general atmosphere they helped generate. He actually commented on it today without any prompting from me. We don’t however miss being bullied out of our seats at the away games though!
