pefwin Flag Where you have to have an English ... 03 Jun 05 12.01pm

Several people have mentioned this match. Was it the one where they scored in the 86th or so?? cause I've seen alot worse!

I remember an evening match where we lost to Barnsley and I think 'who ate all the pies' Miller saved a penalty.

In the eighties away to Leceister we threw away a 4-0 or was it 3-1 lead to draw 4-4. grrrrr

just 4 u left handed eagle a quote from a HOL article over 2 years ago from smith:

"I made up a story about Alex Kolinko, who had been in tears after the game. I said he came from the poorest mountain village in Latvia where he had to fight bears when he was eight.

"I said his grandparents had been shot by the Nazis, his mother had died of cancer and his sister was raped by a gang of mountain rebels. But he never shed a single tear because he was strong and brave.

"Then I told them that one month playing behind our defence had turned him into a blubbering wreck! The players didn't know what to say. Except Clinton Morrison - he said, 'It's a shame about his sister'."

Cheers minty that's made my day! Just goes to prove how many spanners short of a toolbox Smith was! Good stuff.

I'm thinking now - Grimsby away a few seasons ago. They destroyed us 5-2.

One for the Newbies.

Last season Blackburn at home 0-0 and sooo boring and wet

Yes that was dire, I remember bringing my friend along to sit in my dad's season ticket in the main stand, and the only good part was the fight, well thats what he said...

Luckily for me (so no egg on my face) is that his dad is a palace fan, and he said he WOULD come again! PHEW!

Any of the many drab games at home to Sheffield United will do for this one...

In the eighties, we would specialise in,losing to a piss poor Shrewsbury side 1 or 2-0 after missing chances.
Very low attendance crowd, and everybody new what was gonna happen, because it was Shrewsbury again.

There are two for me in the 03/04 season which really stick out as poor
Firstly the 0-1 at home to Bradford when i think Dean Windass scored early and we created nothing against a 23rd placed side.

My other is the terrible one against Crewe in which we kept trying to run the ball into the goal

I remember a 2-2 draw against Tranmere about 4 years ago. I just remember Dean Austin scoring a decent goal in the first half and someone else, maybe Matthias Svennson and then the game just stoppeduntil the 90th minute when in atrocious conditions, I'm talking hail, Tranmere scored 2 goals and it was the only time I'd left a game not believing what had just happened.

The 0-0 draw with tranmere in the league cup a few years ago must be up there with the worst. The first shot of the game came in the penalty shoot out

Gillingham away 03/04. Shocking 1-0 defeat under Steve Kember, they had man sent off, freedman missed pen and had to sit in a temporary stand with no cover right next to the pikeys!

Thats half the fun going to that dump!

Also, at the Prestfieds, we suffered yet another defeat. 2-1 this time. Was the last game of the season 02/03 season i think. It was boiling hot day and if i remember correctly, they had Nyron Nosworthy up front. Five mins into the game, the bloody b******s were 2-0 up!
