Well i do live here, although not able to vote yet (only been here for 6 months). Truth of the matter is that Bush was perceived as the lesser of two evils. If the democrats had actually managed to get a candidate who had some substance to his arguement rather than opposing Bush in every policy, then they would have a President now. This guy, Kerry, changed his mind so many times, depending on the mood of the nation. Think what you want of the Americans, but they sussed him. His negative campaining was ridiculous.

Quote redacted Don't even try mate, they just don't get it !They're all just war lovers with no regards to environment or economy ... plain stupid .. you can't change people like that !But if a terrorist action happens in London killing thousands they'll be the first to complain and say it's a scandal, don't worry !! The fact that will be a reaction because the western world has bombed the s*** out of them will be conveniently overlooked.Makes me sick ... stupidity reaches a new level .. "navigate the world through this difficult time" .. don't make me laugh, difficult times they have created themselves !! Now I don't like muslims but provoking them since 1948 must have been the stupidest long term western politic ever !! And it's all coming to a climax now but do we understand why they do what they are doing ? No of course not, we blindly follow morons like Bush. Edited by JollyStef (05 Nov 2004 8:20am)

I've been laid off three times under his administration due to company closings. We went from having a surplus budget to a deficit budget I'm a LOT worse off today then I was four years ago. I'm really depressed that 51% of my countrymen reelected this guy... Think that will shut up the "we don't live there so we don't know" followers. You're probably right Stef. I respect Tim's post more than anyone else on the subject. But you can't take one man's opinion as the whole of America's! Why did so many people vote for Bush if he's THAT bad. I just don't get it... Kerry may not be as radical as Bush but if he was voted in, I'm pretty sure the anti-American posters on here would be slating him and his policies at some point in the future. The people who oppose capitalism and refuse to to eat in McDonald's but wear Nike trainers and Levi jeans. Edited by Penge Eagle (05 Nov 2004 12:23am) Bush spent a staggering amount of cash to gloss over issues like joblessness, deficet, and enviremental issues. And scaried the bejeezus out of the bible thumpers with talk that Kerry would legalize Gay Marriage. He also tried to project himself as our "protector" after 9/11. Yet this man couldn't kill Bin Laden and has our troops eleswhere pissing off the Middle East. The Voter turn out was the highest ever but it was the Conservative Christians that came to the polls in the greatest numbers. The Democrats had better options of who to run against Bush. Kerry, just wasn't strong enough to get his message across to both sides...

has anyone read the book "stupid white men" by Michael Moore? This tells you about bush and his corrupt empire! Brilliant book and the crazy thing is, I hate books unless they got pictures of naked chicks in it.

the scary thing is that not only did they win the presidential, but they gained power in the senate. THis basically means they can do whatever they want now, instead of facing opposition from the democracts and the occasional rogue republican. Iran next. God save our souls.

The people of the United States have spoken. They decided they do not want a Northeastern anti-war liberal running our country. I do not believe any Democrat could have won this election. Moral values stood at the top of the list. The people of our country are getting sick and tired of having immorality shoved down their throat. Liberals have used the court system to remove Christianity from the public. Ten Commandment monuments in city parks for 75 to 100 years are being removed. Liberal activists judges tell legislatures to make laws legalizing gay marriage despite the will and opinion of the people; the needless murder of babies by abortion on demand, the removal of Christian prayer in schools but allowing different ethnicities to exercise prayer.

Hey, I'm all for a strong defence but why take our eye off Bin Laden and get stuck in Iraq? Why can't we send in our first string (our Armed forces) Why do we have to send in the flip'n national guard? Arn't the National Guard supposed to um...Guard the Nation? Why are we spending all this money on this bull s*** when our economy is A f***ing dire mess. And tell me since you know what's good for me, why is occuping Iraq worth our resources that could be going to...I don't know....Education, our envirement and NOT PISSING OFF THE REST OF THE F'N PLANET!!!
