I can't beleive I missed that argument. I do beleive that everyone has to right to beleive or not to beleive in what ever thay like and no-one has the right to judge people for that. Although how religion survived Darwin I will never know. And the 'Hobbit' skull that has recently been discovered, that has also cast doubts over religion.

If I need help or guidance I ask myself/family or friend, not some book that is years out of date.

evilbible.co is a fantastic site, very funny but ultimately very truthful, thanks for the link JCreedy.

If all the Christian are in heaven then I want to be in Hell with the others (at least we'll have booze and some good music)

Ok, so you have explained the bible quotes are all fine once put into context. Yet there can't possibly be a context for the koran quotes. It is irrelevant who put together the websites holding the quotes - are you telling me that those quotations from the bible are changed in any way?

As for your arrogance, I refer to this unchanging belief that YOU, and Christianity, are right, all others are WRONG. Then again, I guess that is as with all religions. But I did think that Christians were largely tolerant of other religions, yet you condemn Islam as evil? Where is this tolerance?

All religions, Christianity included, claim to offer a unique, exclusive path to salvation. Therefore, it's wrong to say that any of them are tolerant towards other creeds. However, Christianity, by virtue of the large number of sects into which it's divided, has developed a greater degree of tolerance than many others - Islam, on the other hand, remains uncompromising in its inflexibility and unwillingness to even think of entertaining dialogue between it and other faiths. The quotes from the Koran earlier in this thread bear that out, don't you think?

I wasn't aware I was doing that, I was just discussing what you put forward.

I have studied both the Bible and the Koran and this is what I have found:

The God of the Bible has died for mankind, has taught unconditional love and compassion, and overall grace. Even though man are sinners, he not only forgives but blesses man beyond what they deserve.

The god of the Koran is one that demands obedience, demands ritualistic behaviour, such as praying to the East 5 times a day. A god that opresses women and is unbelievably strict, and demands murder and killing of anyone that opposes him.

That is what the books say to me, when read in their context, when read according to the times when they were written, and when observing the people who practise these faiths.

Mattweb, you truly are an absolute jerk. How does your religion claim to not oppress women, yet believes women shouldn't have the human right to have an abortion, particularly in the most ghastly situations.

I am staggered by your blind, ignorant, pathetic attitude to the world. What's worse is the fact that over in America a load of your religious nutter brothers who are anti-gay, anti-abortion, anti-stem cell research have gone and voted in a man who is probably the most evil leader to ever run America. The world without your lot, without the fundamentalist Jews and Muslims too would be true bliss. I seriously find your preaching offensive and I hope JCreedy doesn't buy into your religious bulls***.

Laddo you really do have a lot of hatred in you don't you?

How can you say it is a human right to kill a baby? Surely the baby itself deserves human rights?

Calling abortion a human right is an oxymoron.

Besides who gives us the right to do that?

Your posts consistently reveal your ignorance and failure to check the facts, you attribute Buddhist beliefs to Christianity, you resort to swearing and name-calling, and your tone shows utter arrogance and blindness.

You ignore posts by myself and others that have weight, and simply continue with your hatred without battering an eye lid.

I don't hate anyone, but you clearly do.

I know you will say that I hate Muslims, but I don't I just don't agree with them, and I am saddened that they are fooled by the Koran, which I believe is an evil book.

I don't hate people who have abortions or homosexuals, but that doesn't mean I condone abortion or gay sex. Not condoning a behaviour does not mean I am anti the person or by any means hate the individual.

What an utterly ridiculous post.

Maybe they do Cucking, but as Legal said, there is an adamant view amongst Christians that they are right beyond all doubt. Despite the fact that none of us have any proof of what will happen when we die or any proof that the stories in the bible ever happened, they can't get it into their heads that they just might be wrong.

I don't care for religion at all but I realise that I don't know what will happen to me when I die. I may go to a fiery pit and be tortured for being sinful, I may be at peace on a cloud surrounded by angels playing harps and strangely enough, I may just end up being a dead body in the ground. It's a shame that some people can't get their head around seeing more than their own perfect little scenario.

It is not my own perfect scenario, my belief is based on a personal, supernatural experience, one that can't be explained to one who hasn't had it.

If I am to believe Christianity, how can I also believe another religion is correct. You can't believe two opposing things.

I can't believe something is white, and also believe something is black.

Please explain your experience Matt.

Because God said the only way to the Father was through Christ.

So how can I believe otherwise if I believe that? How can I believe the only way to Heaven is by Christ, but also believe you can get there through Allah?

How can I believe in Heaven and reincarnation?

If I did, I wouldn't really believe Christianity would I?

It doesn't even enter your head that God, Christ and Heaven don't exist though does it?
