Quote redacted Actually 'Just Enough Education to Perform' is the best. No way can the Stereophonics compare wither You Gotta Go There To Come Back or 'JEEP' to their early stuff. Word Gets Around, means something and is raw and the best album the made it was made because that is what they were about not wot would sell thousands of copies and for it, it is a great album, probably my favourite although let down by the later work. If you see them live they also used to explain how Word Gets Around was a bit of an autobiography through music, it was their life growing up in a little town in Wales, worth buying by anyone now into any of the new wave of British guitar music, just ignore what has happened lately.Honorable mentionsThe Strokes - Is This It? Jonathan, while I agree with you whole heartedly about 'word gets around' being the phonics best album, I have a dispute about Morning Glory being 'faultless'. She's Electric is a downright awful song. It should be left to Blur to write songs like that! No no, Definitely Maybe is surely 'faultless'. Then again, Digsy's Dinner is on that one......... maybe you're right.

I think She's Electric is a good, up-beat tune. It shows variety on an album that is generally full of the greatest 'anthems' ever wriiten. Both great albums though, I think Heathen Chemistry should be up there as well. It has 3 of Oasis' best ever songs in Stop Crying Your Heart Out, Songbird and Little by Little.
