I think we just got to see who you really are.

Not really a surprise.

Virtually every debate on HOL is hypothetical and all of a sudden we shouldn’t discuss with hypotheticals. Let’s see your response when another Jo cox happens as hypothetically a politician was never going to die for their party beliefs.
Alongside an MP wasn’t hypothetically stabbed to death in his surgery was he.?

And if that happens it should be treated with complete disgust, but we don’t need to conflate a milkshake with murder.

I don’t think that is the exact point. Rather like the first person who puts graffiti on a blank wall what follows by other people can often be more elaborate. Consequently the attacks on Farage could escalate; not from the current perpetrators but by those who are more unbalanced.

That makes more sense as a theory but I don’t see much proof for it in terms of violence against politicians. These sort of things happen most election campaigns and as far as I can recall are always standalone incidents.

If clowns like yourself continue to condone attacks be them small or large in scale then retaliation becomes inevitable.

Will be interesting to see how you react if it does happen.

I seem to remember that Kinnock and Prescott punched people for similar things and quite right too. This wasn't a political statement just someone trying to raise her profile and make money like that stupid kid Mizzy.

A few well placed right handers from the victims will soon stop that.

And clowns like yourself pretending a milkshake is an ‘attack’ will always be silly.

This kind of puts all your other opinions in perspective.

If you can't see why this is serious in modern Britain then you need to have a word with yourself.

Attacking and supporting anyone who throws a milkshake at a politician or indeed a member of the public regardless of their views is wrong.

Earlier today Farage was attacked again while on his bus by the woke mob. This is unacceptable behavior. And it would still be if it was Starmer / Sunak. Although the coverage would be different and the BBC / sky would not be reporting it with a sneer a smile and a joke.

Why does it need escalation? Politicians on both sides have been getting hit with eggs and milkshakes for decades.

We don’t need to pretend someone willing to throw a milkshake is now prone to engaging in serious violence.

It fosters escalation because it's the same politician and an attack from the same political demographic.

Obviously it means that a right winger will probably look to do the same with Labour.

It's not funny nor sensible to support attacks on politicians for obvious reasons. The more publicly acceptable it becomes the more chance someone will take it further.

I don’t condone this kind of behaviour, whoever is involved. It is just silly and juvenile.

It isn’t though an attack. No one is going to be hurt by a milkshake. They might be annoyed or embarrassed but not hurt.

That some target Farage with this kind of behaviour and not, apparently at the moment, anyone else, is interesting of itself.

Why do they do that? Is it because they see him as a ridiculous politician who deserves a ridiculous response rather than a reasoned argument?

I strongly doubt too many here will see it that way but many others might and it could be making a political statement to them.

I don’t know, but I don’t see it as any kind of genuine physical attack. It’s a milkshake. Not even an egg!
