Whether Spurs have made contact or not we can only hope that Eze does not have a release clause. I imagine that he is now our equal top earner and that the new contract more than doubled what he was on before. We never let Zaha have a release clause because of the 25% we would owe Man U. So glad that they never saw a penny. QPR are owed 25% of whatever Eze would be sold for so I am hoping that if there is a release clause it is £80m+. Olise is different. Interest from Chelsea was so great a moderate release clause was probably the least of our worries at the time of signing.
I ain't got nuthin' funny to say. Sorry. |

I heard that release clause is £60m but there's another £8m that gets split between him, QPR and various other parties so a lot more than is thought. This is why his clause and the ability to sign him from us was always described as "not straight forward".

I also hope it's fake news. Why? One leaving has nothing to do with the other.

But they seem to have such a close friendship that they might prefer remaining as teammates, enjoying each other's company as well being a dynamic, symbiotic duo on the pitch. There's more to life than money, especially when you're rich, famous, and admired.

Another point I was thinking about was all our players get international recognition at Palace now. Eze got in the squad ahead of Maddison who is at Spurs. Apart from the stadium what have Spurs got that we haven’t?

The truth is they dont know, its more likely some bo--ox on twitter.

It was said by a journalist with strong Palace links some time ago that Eze’s contract wasn’t an easy “here’s the money now we can talk to him “ type of buy out clause and wouldn’t be an easy purchase for any interested club.

He won’t be going there, you watch Spurs implode after 6 straight defeats and Ange walks….

Apart from the stadium what have Spurs got that we haven’t? A massive fanbase, a club that generates huge amounts of money and is in the top 10 clubs financially world wide. I'm as excited for next season and as desperate to keep our players as anyone else but when you read comments like, why would they pick, utd, Chelsea or Tottenham over us. Let's be honest, realistically they've got more chance of achieving more at any of them clubs than they have at ours.

I cant believe Eze would go to Spurs. Firstly, no one is convinced Ange is the right fit there and he could waste a couple of years of his career stagnating in an underperforming team thats happy to just try and finish 4th each year.
