Not that many supporters will take a blind bit of notice, but, here is the clubs advice/instructions for tomorrow . . . [Link] Have a great time HOLer's if your going, I'm in Menorca, so watching my way & not in a bar, actually they don't have many bars here, 4 open. Very Scottish, very family & very Jet2. Nice tho.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Forgive me for not finding the exact quotes but in one of the usual BBC comments forum exchanges about Man City expenditure there was the understandable complaint from Villa fans, when it was pointed out that they were the 7th biggest spenders over recent years, that their spending couldn't continue at Villa at the same level because of the Financial Fair Play rules. Or is it Profit and Responsibility now? Basically the impression I got was they had maxed out on their losses - though to their credit they had spent well with a good manager. So they will get some extra money from the Champions League, though will need to qualify for the group stages I think, but will be still be restricted in their spending. Can anyone more knowledgeable confirm? I think Newcastle are in a similar position where despite untold riches backing them are going to have to sell to buy. I wouldn't think a one off season in the Champions League would swing it for either Olise or Eze to become a squad player at Villa. They obviously have a pretty good side already and 4th place next year is going to be even more competitive. Villa have Spurs to thank for imploding for this years qualification. There will be a few clubs treading a tightrope with signings for next season, Villa have done pretty well in the market, but I doubt they have the dosh for Olise and Eze….

Me too. Seems many moons ago when both teams were struggling, hence the nicknames Aston Vanilla (cos everyone licks them!) and Crystal Paralysis. Originally posted by PJEagle

This has 5-4 written all over it as far as I’m concerned. Win - A real end of season party albeit tainted with the season ending whilst we’re on a run which makes us look like Champions let alone a decent outfit. Draw - Absolutely fine, end of season party still on and we remain unbeaten til the end (I almost laughed when Glasner said it) Loss - still a party, just a reality check, and even with the gossip merchants going into overdrive, potentially some departures of much loved players, we can still rest easily with nothing but excitement for next season. COYP What a time for donning red and blue eh? You were half right!
