Schlupp could also play LWB giving Mitchell some rest when necessary. What will happen when Doucoure comes back next season? Who will be the 2 starters (Hughes, Wharton and Doucoure) Wharton has been very good I think he will start. Doucoure has been a huge miss for Palace but Hughes and Wharton have been playing well.

Wharton will be playing for England and in the champions league in a few years. He will be pivotal to our midfield for the next two seasons if we can keep him. I’d play Dacoure alongside him when he is fully fit

Very entertaining game today, I thoroughly enjoyed the pressing and some of the passing was sublime. The only downside was a couple of wasted chances but we are looking a decent side now our players are fit and can play until the last minute. An away point is always welcome.

Schlupp invoking the spirit of Dean Gordon with that strike, to be honest he has always been good value for the odd goal when we need it & glad he has got on the score sheet this season. Yeah good call that, he did resemble deano a bit with that one

I posted this previously that prior to PVA schlupp played in that position and was mentoring Mitchell. We need a Munoz on the left with a bit more speed than schlupp but until then he would do well. Although 90 minutes might be a bit too long for him.

I've only just seen anything of the game, but I'm amazed not only that Munoz didn't get a penalty but that it doesn't seem to have been mentioned in this thread. He appeared to me to have his legs taken from under him from behind. Am I in a minority of one?

We were obviously up the other end at the game so didn’t think much of it, but having seen it back now on tv it did look a clear one. But I’ve seen a couple of similar ones like that recently, a player baring down on goal at an angle and it looks more like a tangle of legs, so they don’t get given.

The energy levels and accuracy of passing so late in the game has been impressive... such high tempo... Yes I agree massive improvement, however the exception yesterday was Mitchel who stats show accuracy passing rate 65.7% from 35 passes and of course it was his poor pass the resulted in the goal against us!

Im absolutely fuming with Palace Matty and olise was terrible worse performance ever , it has nothing todo with the fact my bet crashed and burned this week , and it means im down to 340 in winnings on Mateta , he better score next game other wise i think we should sell him , But serious note caught most of the game we was the better side a little tired maybe , a draw is better than a loss , and the enigma that is Jeffery Schlupp scores a beauty of a goal , if we was at home we may have won due to the support being loud and keeping the players going , but i like what i see hopefully we can hold on to key players , COYP

Didn’t go to the game but watching match of the day looks like we were unlucky not to come away with all 3 pts. Massive improvements all round and credit to OG and his back room team, same players as Hodgson..:just saying

Especially when you factor in that it was our 3rd game in 6 days. Originally posted by HesHereHesThere
