Phew TFFT 1-1 FT
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

We didn't concede TFFT!
I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything. |

Well done boys! Respect the point. Taking a look at the other games it's not a bad afternoon.

Mitchell playing badly again according to Clinton Morrison. He rarely finds a player with his crosses. I don't agree with that. Mitchell was very good first half but in the second they have bought on Elanga who had a lot more pace. Richards was struggling physically so wasn't able to cover across to left back as much so Mitchell was mostly just having to defend 2v1. He does struggle with crosses, particularly when running at full pace and those were the type of chances he had second half, on the break. Think he was taken off because he was knackered.

We looked good in the first half, difference for me was the subs they were able to bring on (4 points deducted but a bench full of talent.. might even be worth it). I think that we just lost control of the ball in the second half, which let them have the momentum and tempo in their favour. Needed just to try holding onto the ball for longer periods rather than inviting the chaos with rushed clearances. Really needed Ayew to do his usual work of holding the ball up and slowing the game down but he wasn't good at all. Wharton and Lerma both looked good but were the ones I wanted to see control the ball better in the second half.

Respect the point as Big Sam used to say. Forest will look at it as valuable points dropped. COYP

I was genuinely shocked at how poor we looked at times: general ball control, decision making, effort/desire to compete. I suppose with the likes of Johnstone, Guehi, Doucoure and Olise out we’re bound to look that way but even no Franca or Edouard left us looking as though we had almost zero attacking options beyond Eze and an absolutely shattered JPM. I missed first half, apparently we were much better, but also a point there or ‘not a loss’ on a day where other results could have ended disastrously for us is not the worst outcome. It may well be a ‘limping over the line’ season but I’m not quite at panic stations yet.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Mitchell did OK for me as well .That he rarely finds anyone with his crosses though is a bit of a waste having busted a gut to get into the position .As a wing back its something that needs to be improved . Overall we were well worth the point though we need to be more clinical , with a bit more composure that game was there to be won

It will now be extremely difficult for forest and/or Luton to catch us.
