I think some of you are being sucked in by the slow mo’s and the freeze frames, as has been stated many a time this season, they make a lot of tackles look bad. Did anyone saying it’s a red shout for it in normal time? Certainly everyone in the ground looked bemused.
Maybe you should speak to Clyne after he hobbled off whether it was a dangerous challenge.

If ever there was evidence for us needing something beyond playing for 0-0 every week it's the cup to really bring that to the fore. Awful, awful game and performance.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Poor second half from Palace. We desperately need a quality midfielder who can move the ball about forwards rather than looking for the back pass. Is Cabaye still playing?

A typical Roy Hodgson performance. All the cutting edge of a marshmallow. That actually made me chuckle. I needed something as that game was poor

We have no discernable plan of attack once we get in the other teams half. It's so bad to watch and reflects poorly on the coaching staff.

Didn’t mind who won - but worst outcome - a replay ! (Just my opinion ) Edited by rob1969 (04 Jan 2024 10.02pm)

Very lacklustre. Ahamada didn’t do himself any favours when he came on. His passing and touch really did stink up that right side. I was expecting more. Mitchell wasn’t much better down the left. Oh well. In a way I wish we’d lost the bloody thing.

I don't see this version of Eze making the Euros squad. Hopefully he can build up his fitness and rediscover that spark from the start of the season over the upcoming break. At times I do wonder how a team can create as little as we do. We seem totally dependent on a moment of magic and a quick 1-2 to create a shooting opportunity. We don't seem to actually know how to build an attack to create a chance. We're not trying to get to the byline, we're not trying to cross from deep, we're not trying to get a knock down in the box from a target man, we're not trying to create shots from the edge of the box, we haven't got midfielders coming from deep, we aren't trying to play over the top, we're not trying to do anything from set pieces... Are we just waiting for Olise or Eze to pull a goal out of their backside?
