Can’t fault the team today. So much better than the last few weeks. Hard enough against the likes of Liverpool but when the ref is there 12th man it’s impossible. This ref should be ashamed of himself.

No complaints about the team today. Played as best they could. The ref was a joke. We move on. I feel bad for the lads as I felt they worked very hard.

VAR is ruining football even though it gave us a penalty today. How come it took them 3 whole minutes to realise Mateta was upended. It was clear and obvious. Edited by dreamwaverider (09 Dec 2023 2.52pm)

Liverpool didn't have a shot on target until the ref steps in. I'm surprised he didn't halve the injury time after they scored. We didn't just deserve something from the game, we were the better team. All first half and into the second Liverpool were fouling to stop us breaking and no bookings. Second half Gakpo did three bookable challenges and didn't get one. Ayew's bookings were so soft. I didn't expect us to put in such a heroic performance. Play like that for the rest of the season and we'll be fine and I'll get right back behind Roy.

Looking at the players reactions and the even more than usual enthusiasm from Ray Lewington something has gone on behind the scenes since Bournemouth defeat and it’s worked. Back to basics for us, not entertaining but minimum I want to see is hard work and effort. That is evident today. Let’s hope we can get something from the game over the 2nd half So proud of the team today. Great effort from all of them. That was the reaction needed. As for the ref…….nothing needs to be said other than I trust we are appealing that red card

Awful performance by the referee. It wasn’t a dirty match at all but 8 yellow cards to Palace including 2 for Ayew and one for Roy. Another 2 for Liverpool. No game should have 10 yellows and certainly not this one. He spoiled the match. Shame on you Madley! Edited by Palacesince64 (09 Dec 2023 2.46pm)
